Are those two songs really an example of ‘acoustic’?

Either way, as I have for at least two eras now, it’s be nice to see them go back to earlier sounds. The last two albums didn’t leave much to go back to.

Acoustic-ish I suppose  it’s been a while since I listened to either in fairness!

Their big hit making days are obviously over but they're one of those artists that could still smash with the right song. Looking forward to hearing this anyway!

Billboard have described it as somewhat returning to the sound of 'Songs About Jane'!

Arriving May 19, “Middle Ground” is billed as something of a return to form, calling back to Maroon 5’s sound on 2002 breakthrough album Songs About Jane. “I need more than myself, I need light, I need life, I need what I never felt,” Levine sings on the track, over soft acoustic guitar and tambourine. “If It hit the ground, I’ll fall down to my knees, would you hear the sound?”

That’s good to hear. That’s their best album for me. Their second album was good too but since then there’s only been a handful of their songs I’ve liked.
Not the song being called Middle Ground considering the quality of their recent music.
Yeah, they’ve ditched the electronic production but this is still…boring. It doesn’t remind me of Songs About Jane at all. I’m not sure they can ever get back to the brilliance of their first three albums.
Ok so this is actually lovely and really strikes a chord with me for some reason. Beautiful

A remix feat. country singer Mickey Guyton is out today! She really lifts it imo, especially with the added backing vocals too.
