Probably released on a Thursday

Will it have appeal to non Kylie fans

Will there be a lyric video/quality video

Will there be a performance

Will the media like /dislike it

How many remixes will it have

Physicals? CD/Vinyl?

Can it make playlists?

Lots of questions that could see if it is successful. I haven't heard anything except the intro yet so will reserve judgement until then

T75 maybe but Kylie’s days of getting a hit are long gone sadly. It will struggle to get any AirPlay too.

Top 75 I would have thought.

Similar to Say Something

R2 should playlist it.

I think its probs released too early to get anything much of an album boost

Dare I say I thought she might premiere it on Heart instead?

Gary Davies this Thursday nothing mentioned yet on radio 2

I never get overly excited for Kylie singles charting because the label don’t even try, we all know Kylie could challenge if they released the video, remixes, CD and vinyl etc., in the same week but they would rather longevity over the course of a few weeks (which is the right decision) rather than a 39-out because they threw everything at week 1.

Kylie singles are merely a tool to shift the money making physicals - I’m sure Padam Padam will make the Top 100 but I’m not expecting much from it despite it being incredible.

I voted T75, but I somehow hope it reaches 100m Spotify streams mark before the album cycle ends (that will probably be in around 2 years)!
While it would also help in the charts I'd love a cd and physical release. Ideally a 2 cd release and give us b sides as there are tracks left over that didn't make the album. I still miss the great days of 2 cd single releases getting b sides and live tracks.
It would be odd if it didn't chart. 3 Disco singles charted and Magic did for multiple weeks as well. Airplay should also be decent, A Second To Midnight was her biggest radio hit in nearly 10 years. That said, top 40 won't happen unless they do CDs at some point during its run.

Not sure even physicals would give Kylie a Top 40 now - we had vinyl for Dancing, Magic, Real Groove and Say Something and CD single for ASTM.

The only time it worked (just) was for ‘Dancing’ but that was more to do with the 99p download bundle they wheeled out to keep it Top 40.

I'd like to see what can happen if they did a Friday release simultaneously with physicals. I'd love them to help it get as high as possible, but I'm almost at the point of thinking if they don't care why should I?

^^ This, I used to really care and really be bothered by the lack of single success when they could pull it all together and get higher up the charts.

But I’ve now moved past caring as much as they almost seem to self sabotage single releases with Thursday releases, and physicals and remixes released weeks apart.

I’d love nothing more than Kylie to squeeze in some more Top 40 singles which is a possibility if they planned it so everything dropped together but as it currently stands it’s never going to happen :nocheer:

I do my best to try and not care but i think like you said part of me feels Kylie could squeeze another top 40 or 2 if they done things better. For me when releasing physicals and remixes they are only for fans as they don't appeal to anyone else so if they go to the bother of releasing them they should try and make sure they have an impact. A Friday release with the above out on the same day would possibly get her top 40, outside the initial week it will tip away the usual way kylie songs do on streaming but wont be bothering the charts. The singles are generally a 1 week success, 2 if we are lucky so id be for chasing getting the highest peak they can when they know it wont be a huge hit unless we get a complete shock. The Thursday release has no benefit at all for an artist like Kylie.
Anyone think it might have a chance of sneaking into the top 100 this week?

Wouldn’t be overly shocked at it being a #94 smash this week.

It’s holding up well on iTunes but streams appear to be collapsing without the aid of a big playlist, hopefully she’ll get a UK boost from her American Idol performance.

I actually think she will be top 40 tomorrow and i think she could stay grab a top 75 in Fridays official chart. I know i know I am being optimistic

I think BMG will be reactive with this release

^^ Last weeks #72 sold 6,896 copies.

Will be a tall order for Kylie to clear 6,500+ copies when it’s doing well in Kylie’s terms for streaming but certainly not the numbers needed for a Top 40/75 - if at a stretch it sells 500 a day on iTunes (3.5k), then it would need at least another 3k from streaming which I can’t see happening?

Well she is number 1 & 54 and 1 on Amazon. I haven't got a clue what downloads she has sold to be honest, maybe for the week 2.5k? Loreen sold nearly 6k downloads last week though she did win Eurovision and was 59p etc

She has 140,000 Youtube streams already, say thats 250 sales from that platform

Spotify she will do OK and Apple Music she has been 75-85 all week. Plus Deezer and other streaming platforms

Still being added to streaming platforms.....

I think she is capable.

Maybe BMG will do a Dancing and stick a 99p download on Kylie site (this tactic may well be used later in this release.....)

As I always say, let's see

Not like me to be optimistic
