That’s amazing news! It has been gaining ground over the course of the week. If this continues, then it may well post a streaming increase next week, even without an additional remix.

 

Only 8 Taylor Swift songs above it now. And only 5 from her latest album. There aren’t many Taylor songs left now to fall below her.

 

Her climb is largely because of the Taylor Swift songs, which finally go into massive decline - after remaining fairly steady the previous day. There should only be two Taylor songs above her in the final OCC chart now. And the rest is from older songs on ACR. The good news is that no song has climbed above Padam Padam on Spotify. The slightly less encouraging news is that all of the songs that are battling against Padam Padam in the chart this week are significantly above it on Spotify still. All are in the top 24 (Kylie is 37) apart from Jorja Smith, who has two versions of her song in the Spotify chart (53 and 76).

 

Interestingly all of the songs in the Chart Update top 16 are top 24 on Spotify other than PP (counting the top 3 Taylor songs regardless of whether they are the 3 that made the chart update) but the songs at 17-19 in the Chart Update are below Kylie at 40-42.

 

This suggests that it will be very close in the charts between 8 and 16 - with a big gap, then to number 17. With Taylor in decline, Kylie shouldn’t fall to 16 - but could be anywhere between 8 and 15 on Friday.

 

Caveat: I’ve not seen any data, and the data might show larger gaps than this.

So although a very small decline in streams (which is really good with it being so small) it looks like if you take Taylor out (the Taylor songs above it) if you take them out then isnt she actually an increase in its actually position from this time last week? If so then although a small decline in sales, its probably a decline in streams amongst many songs in that area and it could actually just be the Taylor swift pull, where she is taking up so much of the market and some of those people are listening to Taylor instead of all the other songs around Kylies position, so actually shes doing much better if her position is higher than last week?

But this week I think she will be 10 or 11. I think her position on Apple music and Amazon and her strong downloads help a little and thats why hun although she is 30 odd on spotify, shes number 8 because she has downloads and amazon and apple in her favour hun
