More and more tabloids seem to be reporting that an Oasis reunion is in the works but I won't believe it until I hear it officially.

Do you think it will happen? Do you want it to happen? How successful and enduring would the reunion be if it did happen? A tour? An album? More?

Personally I would love to go to an Oasis gig again, and although they will obviously never be as good as their were in their heyday (I'm speaking as someone who attended the legendary Knebworth gig) it would still be amazing to see them together on stage and they would sell out any comeback gig in minutes. I'd be more excited about a tour than an album though - I'm happy with them continuing to release their solo material.

I actually managed to finally get a ticket to this today, to the 28th September Wembley gig. Some newly released production tickets went on sale this morning and I got an email code amazingly. It's re

I think it will happen....one day. I don't think it'll be any day soon as both are busy with their own stuff. Noel's got a new album and he's touring this year too.

Next year would be the most obvious time as it'll be 30 years since 'Defiantly Maybe', though hasn't Liam already announced something to mark this?

If and when it does happen, the tour will be massive and will sell stadiums out in minutes and will probably headline Glastonbury, but with regards to new music it'll probably sell about the same as Noel's HFB's and Liam's solo does. Let's be fair what their both putting out now is similar to what Oasis would be putting out if they hadn't have split.

I can’t imagine new music anytime soon, but I can see its sales being double Liam’s tbh. His streaming numbers are already decent, Oasis’ would be astronomical.
Unless it involves Bonehead and Guigsy, I think it is probably best left alone. Personally, I wouldn't want to see them again. I was able to catch them in '94 and for me they slowly got less and less interesting with every passing year thereafter but I would expect there'd be quite a few people who'd disagree with me on that.
Are Liam and Noel actually speaking now then? I don’t think a full reunion tour and music would be a good idea as I don’t think it would end well. Just a couple of shows for old times sake would be good though.

If the rumours are to be believed, they are supposedly in contact 'behind closed doors'.

So probably the biggest rumours yet.. announcement on Tuesday allegedly and major sources are reporting on it too (probably likely fuelled by the comments from both partes recently and Liam's hints at Leeds festival.. and I'm sure there may be something tonight at Reading).

Is it actually going to happen this time? :o

Definitely Maybe was relased on 29th August 1994. The 30th anniversary of which is Thursday. If they announce anything on Tuesday that's such a missed opportunity

Never believed it before but something feels different this time. Come on boys announce it!
Noel’s gotta pay for his divorce somehow

!

but I'm ready. I saw them in Heaton Park in '09 and they were great so I'll defo be going to this if true

I thought they would never...

So it takes 1 year for them to fulfill their promise after Man City won a Champions League.

Someone I trust (who feck knows where they got this from) said it's been on the cards for a while, but June is when promoters actually then realised it had legs. I imagine Noel's expensive divorce probably helped him overcome barriers as Liam has always been keen for it. Guess they've still got to make it through all the gigs though..
