Fire Wire still sounds relevent as an example of the hard trance that Blackpink and Katsye brought back at the end of Jump and Pinky Up.

This Week:

2000- Bob Sinclar- I Feel For You

Sampled:

'I Feel For You' was the first single from French DJ Bob Sinclar's second studio album 'Champs Elysees'. This would go on and peak at #9 in the UK. This isn't one that I'm that familiar with from Bob Sinclar. You'll be seeing this soon on BBC Four with Top of The Pops currently in 2000 in their BBC Four repeats. This would sample 'Look for Love' by Cerrone.

2001- Tall Paul vs INXS- Precious Heart

Original:

Tom Jones & Natalie Imbruglia's Version;

Paloma Faith's Version:

John Lewis Advert:

'Precious Heart' was an remixed version of Australian rock band INXS 'Never Tear Us Apart' from 1988. This remixed version from English DJ Tall Paul would better the original version's chart peak by peaking at #12 in the UK. 'Never Tear Us Apart' would be covered eleven years later this time from Paloma Faith where her version would peak at #16 in the UK. It also be covered by Tom Jones who collaborated with Natalie Imbruglia.

2005- Texas- Getaway

TOTP Performance:

'Getaway' was the first single from Scottish band Texas seventh studio album 'Red Book' This would go on and peak at #6 in the UK, this is one I can remember hearing at my end of primary school disco. It's one that I liked at the time although it isn't one that I hear that much nowadays. This is some sheer brilliance from Sharleen Spiteri.
