I never expected to have to wait so long for another top 10, after Celebration. Pre 2008, scoring a top 10 was so easy for her. Still, what an achievement, 40 years after Holiday.

From Music Week:

It is being helped by its current popularity on TikTok which is, in part, due to an upsurge in streaming of The Weeknd’s cancelled HBO drama series The Idol, in which it features. Either way, it lives again, advancing 14-10 (23,077 sales), while raising its cumulative consumption to 490,192 units. Madonna’s 61st Top 10 hit in total (64th, if re-issues are counted), and first since Celebration in 2009, it is The Weeknd’s 15th and Playboi Carti’s first. Only Elvis Presley and Cliff Richard have had more Top 10 hits than Madonna, whose nearest female rival, Kylie Minogue, has had only 35.

Me neither! It still kind of astounds me how it went completely south in that department immediately afterwards, I never would have imagined that around the time 'Celebration' was out. But it's easy to see how looking back on it.

Honestly the fall from the MDNA era completely shocked me at the time, although it didn’t too in that the material just was not strong enough. I thought it would be a back to form with living for love and ghost town though, the latter is a brilliant song especially. I guess the damage was done with the previous era and there was no support moving forwards.
61 top 10 hits !!! Wow and i actually like this feature!
64 TOP TEN HITS…… not 61. Let’s never downplay reissued singles/crazy for you remix! Not on this forum!! :-)
