Tbh I don’t think it matters, Madonna could’ve gotten a high profile feature at any time over the past decade and got a hit but she didn’t bother. The fact she finally is now, I’m happy lol

I don't think we can compare. PP is a solo song, whereas P is just a feature.

Let's be honest. The Weekend would get major playlist support even if he featured his dog on a song. :arrr:

I was gonna say. Padam Padam is literally all on Kylie, these two Madonna tracks are gonna benefit by being with popular streaming artists. Incomparable.

Really? Her last album featured no less than 5(!) collaborations.

Over the past twenty years, she has collaborated with everyone & anyone who is young and popular: Justin Timberlake, M.I.A., Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Maluma, Cardi B, Quavo, Swae Lee, Anitta, Chance the Rapper, Missy Elliott, Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Nas, Dua Lipa, Beyonce, etc.

Madonna herself is by far bigger streaming artist than Kylie, just check her Spotify stats. She is actually bigger than Playboi Carti globally. The Weeknd is of course on another level.

I mean a lot of those songs weren’t singles or weren’t promoted or she was the lead artist on them which, let’s face it, is not going to help. If she was featured on a Drake or an Ariana or whoever’s track (which she very well could have if she wanted) she’d have got a hit I’m sure

The only part I don’t like is the “money on top of me, money on top of her” part, it’s a bit irritating - my first time hearing a Playboi Carti song and tbh his voice goes through me lol
She seems to be interested in The Weeknd co-producing her next album, and it makes sense also from a Max Martin/Mike Dean connection aspect, as both were previously seen with her in a studio setup.
What is going on!? Both Kylie and Madonna getting decent streaming support and challenging for potential top 20 or top 10

Placements? Are we back in the 2000s decade!?

It's great to see as it brings them to a new audience, both these are music legends and have nothing to prove so all the current wave of success is a bonus. I just posted in the iTunes thread saying how great it is seeing kylie, dannii and madonna top 5 its like going back in time in a great way.

Unfortunately, collabs rarely seem to have that effect (see also: 4 Minutes with Justin Timberlake) and Padam Padam so far is probably nothing more than an outlier for Kylie at this point. Still, it's nice to see them back on the charts, even for a brief moment.

Just Carol Honey ❤️

Certainly better than the mess that is vulgar. I really like The Weeknd so I’m surprised he couldn’t have worked on a better song with Madonna. It’s not bad, just a bit meh on first listen and doesn’t really go anywhere.
