Welcome to Week 2 of these polls!

Results from Week 1:

Now at the time of officially closing (say 1 hour before the next session started), “Theme From A Summer Place” by Percy Faith was the winner with 7 votes. However a late vote (Dot!?) has meant that “Hound Dog” actually tied it also with 7 votes. Justice for poor forgotten little Elvis etc.

Clear winner for the worst was “We Will Make Love” by Russ Hamilton with 6 votes by the official deadline (later 7).

As ever I have taken into account comments during the session for the shortlists. (Sorry Bray not including Adam Faith for the worst just because he pronounced “baby” “bye-bye”. :P )

Vote for as many or as few as you like and feel free to vote even if you didn’t attend.

Winners to be crowned next Sunday.

How much is Adam Faith paying you to keep him off the worst shortlist #rigged

Voted for Acker, The Kinks and Petula as faves (all ones I knew already, none of my fave discoveries are on the list :'() and, in the absence of the actual worst song, Pat Boone as least fave, Del Shannon a close runner-up.

I have absolutely no memory of the Ned song oop

I either had to vote for all of the choices (which was pointless) or narrow it down to the one track that shines most brightly. So Downtown it is!

From A Jack To A King is the most plodding of a few plodders...

Voted Stranger on the Shore, Let's Dance, All Day and All of the Night, and Downtown for the best. I think my favourite discoveries were the instrumentals that didn't make it here, but I don't think any would overpower some of those classics.

Most of the worst list isn't particularly bad, just very dull. I'll go with Speedy Gonzales though, much as I love the Looney Tunes, it is pretty unlistenable at some points and while I can separate art from artist, Pat Boone using Mexican stereotypes hits a bit too real x

Sorry was tricky to narrow the best down to 10 so I know I did miss off some strong instrumentals - I doubt any would be contenders though realistically.

Love Downtown but didn’t expect her to be running away with it. :o

At least Acker Bilk is there to represent the instrumentals tbf!

Had to vote for a top 3 as it was like picking between a favourite child: 'Stranger On The Shore', 'All Day And All Of The Night' and 'Heart Full Of Soul'

chose Pat Boone and his embarrassing stereotypes for worst x
