Yep, entirely missing from the archive... as if the week has been erased from history.....

Thankfully this has been rectified!

However...

There's even some quite old data available, for instance I discovered that you can now see Vinyl Album and Single chart runs from 1994 onwards (I noticed this via the Spice Girls page, of course x). Despite these chart runs being viewable, the actual weekly vinyl album / singles charts aren't published, unfortunately. So if you click a position from the 'Spice' vinyl album chart run from 1996, it doesn't show a full vinyl chart from that particular week, it just leads to a page saying that "you are not authorized to access this page." I hope they'll come eventually? - https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/vinyl...hart/19961110/9 - In fact the earlier vinyl album chart available is 5th April 2015: https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/vinyl...hart/20150405/9

This has all been removed :( Those old vinyl chart runs were the most interesting aspect of the chart website update, for me... but I suppose this means it's not information that they had intended to share. Meh.

Where the feck is last week's singles chart? It just redirects to the week before when you try and search for it.

The pros and cons of design changes or whether there's any meaningful new information is one thing but what is the point of a site update if it's MORE glitchy???

I wouldn't categorise this as 'more' glitchy than the old site tbf, just a different glitch. The old site would frequently just fail to load any old charts.

Noticed this yesterday, I think because I'm 8 hours ahead the website just reads my clock and calculates based on that, suggesting that I get a rather early scoop for the new charts

All the artist chart history overviews are messed up, at least they are for me.

Where it says peak, it's giving the entry position. For instance Mariah Carey - Vision of Love entered at #74, but OCC shows it as its peak position. Also everything only has 1 week in the chart.

I noticed that when I randomly looked up Howard Jones today and saw 'New Song' not making the top 75! :???:

They've still not sorted out the problem with albums charts from April, which is an ongoing problem for many chart runs!

Every album that was in the 28th April chart (apart from new entries/re-entries) have had their chart runs split into two, when they shouldn't be. So if you look at these chart runs, every position starting from 28th April (w/e 4th May) displays as a separate chart run, as though it's re-entered.

The 28th April chart has "LW" positions from the 14th April instead of 21st April (for instance, The Weeknd at #5 on 28th April has the LW position showing as #3 which is its 14th April position, it should be #2 (which is its 21st April chart position).

A couple of examples of split chart runs, which shouldn't be split:

P!nk - TRUSTFALL

Taylor Swift - Midnights

It's annoying because this affects a lot of albums. Either the OCC hasn't noticed it over the last 7 months, or they don't care enough to try and correct it!

Yep that’s really been bugging me too! Pretty sure I’ve read other people have flagged it up too, so it seems they aren’t bothered enough to fix it.

^ They really are just never going to resolve this issue, are they? :(

It irritates me any time I look at a chart run of the numerous albums that are affected (for instance I just looked at The Weeknd’s Highlights chart run, split into two runs. :’) )

I wonder whether if enough people continually messaged them about it, if they’d correct it? Maybe no one’s contacted them for a while.

It just strikes me as an indication that the people in charge of the site (and at the OCC in general) don’t care deeply enough about the charts, to think that an error like that isn’t a problem.

There’s still aspects of this site I don’t like. I find it sluggish to look at it on my phone (often the pages crash & reload).
