I can see you is up to 7 on spotify and a new peak for Cruel Summer at 3! 😍 mine and enchanted are the next highest tracks, everything else unsurprisingly falling quite big but still utterly slaying for a re-recording of 13 year old album that wasn’t even that big here!

but the worrisome thing, the Taylor songs are soooo low on Amazon, Enchanted TV is only at #395!

can it be possible or is it a bug? Seems weird... the Amazon chart is always a bit weird and misses songs sometimes

so never 100% reliable

I didn't think Amazon made all that much difference outside of Christmas Szn :tearsmile:
Part of me wants mine to chart just to see if it outpeaks the original, but enchanted needs it's moment, tbf though if anything outpeaks 30 would be a good result
I don’t think Taylor being low on Amazon will numb her album first week sales, can see them being big with the huge Spotify and Apple numbers, can’t wait to see the Monday mids!
Amazon has the 2nd biggest market share in the UK after Spotify according to a government report from last year

Is that not just inflated by how big their Q4 figures would be though?

 

That's crazy if not though. Coz their charts don't match the official/other streaming charts that much.

I think Amazon has a big influence, more than Apple for sure

for instance the Sun mids is always showing who's doing well on Amazon

and if you're low on Amazon, you always show low on the Sun mids (ie Cruel Summer last couple weeks)

Dua did a social media post about being on a playlist on Amazon and they helped her when Apple Music were showing little support. I think Dua doing great on Amazon has helped her on the charts

 

I don't really monitor other artists performance but I think Amazon helped Tom Grennan and Kylie recently? It's hard to tell with no figures or breakdown of how the streams are split though.

 

Also Dave for example is nowhere on the Amazon chart so it's not an essential platform per se. But it's still something acts who are slow to receive support on Spotify or Apple can utilize if they want to impact the main UK Chart

there are different links for the Amazon charts

and the one on page 1 that most people follow is a list that is not complete

there are songs missing in the list like Dave

but it doesn't mean it's not charting on Amazon

it's just that list that is not complete

 

there's another Amazon chart that some people can access, think you have to be subscribed to see that one,

and that one is complete

Not when 'Enchanted' and 'Haunted' exist!! (and about another 4 or 5 songs - but that's for a different convo :heehee:) but it's still a great song and deserves to be a smash, so I would be fine if it entered into the top 3 Taylor songs this week. This kinda just makes me more annoyed at the 3 track rule being for the artist as opposed to eras/album... coz 'Cruel Summer' may actually be out for a week after reaching the top 10 last week :lol: Going to make the run look ridiculous!

tbf, as much as I completely disagree with the 3 artist rule (& ACR) even as a base concept, 3 per artist is the only real workable way to do it. if it's 3 per album, then what happens to non-album singles? if it's 3 per era, how do you define an era objectively and definitely in a way that works for every single artist for the charts? 3 per artist at least is clear and simple with little room for loopholes.

I'm sure there's an error there, I could completely get Sprinter not doing as well on Amazon as it is on other platforms, but as far as I can tell Sprinter literally doesn't exist in the Amazon charts. I don't buy that Sprinter's doing worse on Amazon UK than the likes of Gangnam Style at #920 to give a random example lol
