Congrats, that's a huge step forward for your country, beating the likes Bahrain and China would've been a dream in the past. I knew they had something to bring to the table from the first round when

If Uzbekistan could somehow just get a draw in the match in Tehran they would pretty much seal their ticket, the first qualification in their history after so many close calls!

Oceania qualifying starts today and South American qualifying starts again.

A disastrous start for both Australia and back-to-back Asian Cup Champions Qatar who both start with one point after 2 games and are not only missing out on direct qualifying positions but are not even on track to reach the next round of qualifying!

Quite an interesting set of results to look at at the moment, particularly with some of the big teams like Australia lower down the tables.

Just clocked that I think Indonesia are the only team still in that went through the first round? Guess DJHazey was right there!

Oh FFS the referee ruined our win.

Apparently the Omani referee Ahmed Al Kaf also made some controversial decisions in the past, i.e. Thailand vs Saudi Arabia (2020), Esteghlal Tehran vs Pakhtakor (2020), and Singapore vs Malaysia (2014).

Sure we're not chasing the World Cup ticket, but this is just frustrating...

Australia are the big gainers moving from 5th to 2nd and in an automatic qualifying position but they face Japan next so it's due to change. Japan are the only team left with a 100% record.

We're officially at the half way stage and Group C is looking as juicy as expected. Australia and Saudi Arabia have both only got one win. Both of these wins being against China, who are also on the same points in the battle for the 2nd automatic qualifying spot as they've won their last two.

Goddammit, Middle East countries had zero shame, aren't they?

After we got cheated 90+6=99, it's now Uzbekistan which got 90+96=102. <_<
