Anyway I've seen Barbie and absolutely loved it! Wasn't what I expected but handled themes of feminism/sexism so well as well as existential crisis - I've seen it twice now and absolutely adored it.

Oppenheimer just isn't my kind of film but I might get round to watching it when I'm really bored maybe idk.

Definitely interested in seeing Oppenheimer at some point. Almost never go to the cinema anymore so will wait for it on streaming services. No interest in seeing Barbie.

Well it turned out I did actually see Oppenheimer at the cinema, first time I've been in over 3 years! Worth it though, it wouldn't hit as hard watching on TV. The cinema really elevates the experience

Well Barbenheimer won’t be happening on the video charts as Barbie is released this Monday on dvd and Oppenheimer is released on 22nd November. Bit odd for the latter to be released on a Wednesday. It should be lucky if it tops the video chart seeing as it will only have 4 days of sales

I assume that date is wrong for the UK and even if it was a Wed release it is an EASY number 1 for it, I should think?

It’s not wrong. Everywhere has it listed for Wednesday 22nd November. It might be. There’s been a few Friday releases in the past which have made #1 in the video chart on the Sunday such as The Incredibles and Alice In Wonderland

Could be quite deliberate after all...

On that date in 1943...

1943 World War II: Prime Minister Winston Churchill, the U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the Chinese leader Chiang Kai-Shek met in Cairo, to discuss ways to defeat Japan.

That's the only reason I can see why tbh.
