I think its just that song is being used in viral tiktok’s for random reason rather than anything to do with Scooter

Bjork is prone to exaggeration though. 'Walk On By' has been covered quite a lot in fairness, but of course it hasn't been "sampled to death". I don't particularly like its sampling in Doja's song thoough, it feels a bit gimmicky to me, as if she was desperate to find a classic to sample. Hopefully it doesn't get to #1.

That's the sort of thing someone would do if actually citing an example would make their point weaker, like a Greatest Hits sticker that says 'featuring X, Y, Z and loads of others', the latter being less recognisable to the point of liability in advertising. By that token, if someone were to say 'oh, c'mon, Logic used that same sample 10 years ago on a mixtape', would anyone care? It's like utilising the mystery of the claim and hoping no one actually takes the time to look it up, to make an argument look better. :D

I'm saying you did the exact same thing, you made the assertion that "'Walk On By' has been covered quite a lot", but didn't provide a single example. My point was that it's a lot easier to say that, than provide an example, because doing so would just show that there hasn't really been a cover/sample of note to render this one as egregious.

on top of my head, without looking it up, I remember Dionne Warwick, think it's the original of Walk on By

I remember Gabrielle, Sybil, Gloria Gaynor, Isaac Hayes, Seal, The Stranglers, Beyonce did sample it on the Inches song

 

and that's without looking it up

I cannot think of any other song that I know so many versions
