August 9, 20231 yr Congratulations to Ed, it's certainly an achievement in terms of streams and recent releases from the last 10 years. I however don't find it particularly interesting anymore to see these kind of achievements being broken. When you have album tracks and songs that chart outside the top 20 or even 40 going Gold, Silver and Platinum and then so many basic hits becoming million sellers you lose the sense of achievement of something actually being a proper hit anymore. It has totally and utterly devalued the achievement. The million sellers of today have no impact in the way million sellers of the past did... it was a huge achievement to get even 1 million selling single now Anne-Marie has 5 on her recent OCC list, ridiculous.

Released via Asylum/Atlantic, Sheeran’s sixth studio album was also his sixth consecutive No.1.
