August 16, 20231 yr Author I was convinced to join the competition by wardy I am a lot less convincing these days as I have found by inviting a few friendly faces to join or return to BJSC 157.
August 16, 20231 yr Cliche to say as my favourite entry but probably Two Steps From Hell - Miracles. I remember being very cautious entering a slow-building classical instrumental and it was the first one I really tried before I became quite associated with the sound, so seeing it qualify against a bad semi and connect strongly with quite a few people (though it 'only' finished 12th, when I would go on to have much higher peaking classical hits) was a really great moment for a song I really loved, and it inspired quite a lot of classical entries since, from the same artist and otherwise (many of which did miles better than mine xx) Owsey, Jernalism and Resotone - I've Been Secretly Falling Apart becoming a top 3 hit was also a great moment for a very low-key, underground song I found on a late night YouTube trawl. Recently, The Decemberists getting as high as top 20 for a nine minute folk song particularly exceeded my expectations as an AQ!

August 17, 20231 yr I love all my entries, so success are really what I am most proud of because winning the BJSC crowd over is not an easy task! But what is probably my proudest entry is "I Feel You" by Wonder Girls. It's one of my all-time favorite kpop songs by my favorite kpop group of all time, AND it went top 10, which is not always easy for kpop to do in the contest. I couldn't ask for much more than this song's success, looking back on everything I've submitted so far. V9QXQz6uE0M
