August 19, 20233 yr I'm pretty sure Capaldi only ever did signed CDs. Fake cassettes are more in the Selener mold :kink:
August 19, 20233 yr All glory to the fake casseroles :cheeseblock: I'd be here for Dua and especially Olivia both getting turns at #1 still, but 'What Was I Made For?' is my favourite big hit of the year so far so very pleased to see it nabbing a #1 peak in the end, I'm quite surprised the label cared enough about the UK specifically to pump in the resources with all the cassettes but we love to see it x Kind of iconic that Billie gets #1 only with film soundtrack singles. (Ooop at Dua being omitted from the contenders though - that seems especially odd considering she was both in the top 3 last week and #1 in First Look...) Yay for Peggy Gou returning to her peak as well (hope she can still get higher), and 'Disconnect' needs to peak at #5 now to maintain Chase And Status' only top 10 peaks being #5 and #9 x Fred again.. getting another new peak (as a named artist) is good to see and bringing a first hit for Obongjayar too *.* he surely must be due a top 10 pretty soon. Really not that keen on 'Asking' but it's good to see Clementine Douglas having a top 40 hit to her name even if this is probably her worst ever vocal performance for me oop. She's also in a group called Kudu Blue who have pumped out quite a few tunes for those who aren't aware x I suppose 'Fast Car' is not the worst country breakthrough we could have in the top 40 (Oliver Anthony Music outdoing Jason Aldean but still not quite getting there thank gawd) but still not really for me, not exactly a bad cover per se but it's just so close sounding to the original but with a worse vocal performance and sounding much less authentic for obvious reasons. Liam Gallagher waltzing his way to a fairly easy #1 with a live album is rubbing a bit of salt in his brother's wounds after he lost his #1 studio album streak a few weeks back (on much higher opening sales mind)! Nice result for The Hives anyway and happy to see Jungle matching the #3 peak of their last album too.
August 19, 20233 yr Yay well done Billie, I am so happy 🙂. My cassettes still haven't been shipped yet.
August 19, 20233 yr If I wanted fake casseroles I d go to the supermarket. She did do a Lewis Capaldi but with cassettes this time.
August 19, 20233 yr If I wanted fake casseroles I d go to the supermarket. She did do a Lewis Capaldi but with cassettes this time. And you would leave empty handed as supermarkets don't sell cassette and most don't sell cassette either.
August 19, 20233 yr Yay well done Billie, I am so happy 🙂. My cassettes still haven't been shipped yet. So how does this work...does it mean your cassette isn't included in this week chart and it will be included in next week chart or whenever it ships or did they really just submitted numbers to OCC that we sold 7.7k cassette's and we will ship them at later date but count them now!!!
August 19, 20233 yr The chart sales are counted when they are 'processed' which is not necessarily the same as when it's shipped. I'd assume all the cassette sales were counted to yesterday's chart.
August 20, 20233 yr So how does this work...does it mean your cassette isn't included in this week chart and it will be included in next week chart or whenever it ships or did they really just submitted numbers to OCC that we sold 7.7k cassette's and we will ship them at later date but count them now!!! I haven't got a clue, all I know is mine has just been shipped. I haven't really followed the charts much to be honest because I don't like the fact streaming counts as a sale.
August 20, 20233 yr I found the chart show on bbc really frustrating and disappointing this week cos they really gave away from the first second that Billie was #1 and not Dua it could have been a very nerve-wrecking and nail-biting afternoon if they had played it well don't they follow the mids? after Dua being #1 all week in the Mids them not mentioning her as contender clearly gave away Billie's cassettes had made the trick fire them :D
August 20, 20233 yr Is Billie Eilish the first artist to have 2 #1s from two different films? The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night, Help and Yellow Submarine
August 20, 20233 yr If I wanted fake casseroles I d go to the supermarket. She did do a Lewis Capaldi but with cassettes this time. Omg THIS!!! Preach, Mack!!!
