August 22, 20231 yr It's a shame really that they'll likely keep everything limited, but I get it - they're doing this on their own dime and having a bunch of cds/vinyls stuck in Mutya's mom's attic storage for years for the purpose of keeping them in print probably isn't appealing to any of them, especially as they'd have to consistently order smaller amounts as to not overstock them too much, while at the same time having to take a loss from the overhead price of ordering a smaller amount of copies. August 22, 20231 yr Author The downside to them being indie is they take on all of the financial risk. Given everything is for delivery on the 15th of Sept I imagine they placed the order months ago and just had to make a rough guess as to how popular it would be And it wouldn’t be the first time they underestimated their appeal (remember they didn’t think people would come to their Glasto set and they nearly caused a stampede)

Given everything is for delivery on the 15th of Sept I imagine they placed the order months ago and just had to make a rough guess as to how popular it would be The good news is that by all accounts they're using the data that The Lost Tapes have generated to gauge interest and where - even if they don't stay indie, I'm sure they could use that as a negotation tactic with a label (look at what we achieved as a low-key independent release is probably a good selling point).
August 22, 20231 yr Author Yeah I think that given they’ve generated a good buzz for it with absolutely zero promotion or support on an album various figures in the industry actively sabotaged and sought to ensure never happened, they’ve got a pretty good hand for any negotiations that’s for sure. I can’t wait to hold it in my hands. It’s a wonderful album and it fully deserves to be released in a physical format for us to cherish
September 15, 20231 yr Author The store just emailed to say that the CD is slightly delayed as they have only just received the stock today. It’ll be dispatched asap but that is why it wasn’t sent yesterday along with the Vinyls
September 19, 20231 yr Raging I didn't know about this until too late. I didn't get a promo email from their site or anything. Had already prordered vinyl a while ago and was disappointed there was no CD. Now I've chuffing missed it after waiting 10 years!!
September 20, 20231 yr Just saw this. I may take the plunge and get my friend to buy this for me this time.
September 20, 20231 yr Author Go go go move fast people!!!! My CD arrived yesterday in the post and it’s perfect 🥰 Getting to see the ©Sugababes on it :cheeseblock:
September 20, 20231 yr Author No, there’s no booklet. We get full details on the writing credits, a special thank you that’s very heavy on fan love by usual album liner notes thank you Standards, and a CD. That’s it. From what I’ve heard it’s the same for the vinyl BMG aren’t funding this, it’s only Sugababes that are all over this so it’s a bit of a budget affair. But hey, at least we have a physical copy
September 20, 20231 yr Ordered! It pushed me to order the When the Rain Comes CD and vinyl too  I paid them to ship separately so that my CD will hopefully count for this week, I really want them to make the albums chart even if it is at #100 Edited September 20, 20231 yr by No Sleeep
