The first example of Gosling the musician surfaced in 2007, when he released an online solo single, "Put Me in the Car." That same year, he formed a band, Dead Man's Bones, with Zach Shields -- the two had met in 2005 at a time when they were dating the McAdams sisters, Rachel and Kayleen. Originally, their joint project was determined to be a monster-themed musical, but the realization of how expensive the undertaking would be saw the pair morph into a band instead, albeit with spooky motifs. Gosling contributed a variety of instruments to their eponymous debut, including vocals, guitar, bass, piano, and cello; the latter two he learned from scratch specifically for the record. The album was self-released in 2009 and received a generally positive response from critics; in particular, they were quick to praise the use of Silverlake Conservatory Children's Choir throughout the album. Seven years on in 2016, Gosling made entirely new musical headlines, as he performed the piano in his L.A.-based musical La La Land and its subsequent official single. In the film he plays an aspiring jazz pianist, meaning the level of skill required was far higher than he could initially manage; in order to get up to speed, Gosling reportedly spent four hours a day for three months learning to play high level jazz piano -- an effort that paid off tremendously, as he received significant amounts of praise for his musical contributions to the film. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History Ryan Gosling 2017 53 City Of Stars (Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone) -OST- 2023 13 I'm Just Ken -OST- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 2 x Top 100 Barbie The Album 2023 02 Dance The Night (Dua Lipa) 2023 04 Barbie World (Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice with Aqua) 2023 09 Speed Drive (Charli XCX) 2023 01 What Was I Made For? August 25, 20233 yr Author I didn't actually really enjoy Rich Men North of Richmond even away from some of the lyrics. Fast Car is better (and Last Night was far better than both, interesting that they were so intent on snubbing Morgan Wallen with an entirely apolitical and uncontroversial song...! away from him as a person obv) I don't really like I'm Just Ken either, dodgy vox left, right and centre x
August 25, 20233 yr oh lol I didn't expect r1 would play the oliver anthony song given its political nature I guess/hope that'll be the only time they bother playing it though
August 25, 20233 yr Author 21 | 31 | 6th week Sonny Fodera and MK featuring Clementine Douglas Asking Non-album single Released: 7th July 2023 Label: Solotoko Chart Statistics NE (27/07/2023) | 95-61-51-41-31-21 Sales: 40k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 32 Sales 74 Audio Streaming 00 Video Streaming Video Jckql0mdf_c Biography Sonny Fodera Since his first release at the age of 23, Australian born, London based Sonny Fodera has crafted his own unique brand of groove-driven and emotive house music that resonates with devoted fans around the world. His masterful mixing in the booth and renowned DJ sets have lead to multiple sold-out tours in the UK and N.America, including 2 x headline nights at Brixton Academy, Mayfield Depot in Manchester, The Shrine in LA & Avant Gardner in NYC, whilst also holding down a summer residency at Amnesia in Ibiza. Sonny also tirelessly travels the globe playing sets at countless major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, EDC Vegas & Tomorrowland to name a few. His standout remixes and original material have achieved more than a dozen top tens in the Beatport charts, proving that he is very much shaping the landscape for fans and DJs alike. Unquestionably, Sonny is one of dance music’s fastest-growing acts, while remaining independent, releasing on his own imprint Solotoko. - Apple Music MK Marc Kinchen’s touch is subtle, but it has changed the course of dance music multiple times. Born in 1972, the Detroit native got his start crafting moody, groove-heavy deep house for Kevin Saunderson’s KMS label when he was just 17. By the early ’90s, Kinchen (better known as MK) was making his mark on underground dance floors with hits like “Always” and “Love Changes,” balancing strident drum programming with punchy keys and organ bass—a signature sound that quickly found him rising in stature as the industry’s go-to remixer, racking up credits for The B-52’s, Pet Shop Boys, Céline Dion, Moby, and dozens more across pop, dance, and R&B. In the 2000s, he shifted his focus to hip-hop and made beats for Will Smith and Pitbull, but as deep house came back into vogue, a new generation of fans gravitated to MK’s early work. It was his 2013 remix for Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through”—skeletal, funky, and easily mistaken for an actual product of ’90s vintage—that marked MK’s return to dance music, followed by still more remixes (Duke Dumont, Sam Smith, Clean Bandit, and even Nile Rodgers got the MK treatment) and jubilant throwback anthems like 2016’s “Piece of Me” and 2017’s “17.” In the new material, MK gave classic piano house a state-of-the-art update, yielding a sleek, punchy sound akin to future house. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Sonny Fodera 2019 51 One Night (MK & Sonny Fodera feat. With a mere eight months of production under his belt, the track has marked a transformative milestone. Derived from D-Block Europe track “Ferrari Horses,” featuring the enchanting vocals of songstress RAYE, the producer’s trance-infused adaptation was conceived on his university laptop earlier this year. Enthralled by the captivating vocals, he envisioned a euphoric pluck and an assertive bassline that would escalate into an explosive drop, breathing new life into the track’s sonic landscape. - GRM Daily Top 100 Chart History cassö 2023 20 Prada (cassö, RAYE & D-Block Europe) -NAS- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 0 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100 RAYE 2016 15 By Your Side (Jonas Blue feat.
