i remember those people where divided over the Padam video at first.

 

The more success Tension can get the more it will grow on people.

 

Have we all streamed it 10 times today and on some of those playlists??? Do it!!! ive done about 25 streams and 10 video views (low volume and in background mostyly) plus 40 Padam streams of the versions.

 

I dont think they will mess about with this one, i also think maybe this is the song with a feature? Could Kamille be used? i guess Hold On To now is ready to go for album release week?

 

we know Tension has a radio edit already which can be used for sales, another extended mix? i think it lends itself to better remixes than PP too..... then the physicals, maybe used to sell some website downloads of album with physicals?

I feel like Did It Again and Confide did the “different Kylies” better than this one does!

I guess it is hard as Padam came out during Friday and not midnight, so had a lot less streams on the Friday.

Padam padam was a Thursday release on all platforms.

Opens at 76 on UK SPOTIFY with 98.5k streams….PP debuted at 104 on 92.1k.

 

The Padam effect has created another variant ha ha!

 

Oh and Padam has risen 31 spots to 69. Over 100k streams. It’s best number since 4th August.

It’s slightly better than Param’s debut numbers (98k vs 92k) and much better position wise (76 vs 104). Padam dropped out of the chart over the weekend and had a big surge over the weekdays that followed. The release of the extended mix on Thursday resulted in a #26 debut. If Tension can hold over the week, it could be another top 30 debut for Kylie.

So it's opening is slightly up which is great news, it's looking good at this early stage for tension to debut in the top 40 on Friday.

It's definitely not something I would have predicted but I'm loving it.im getting fever vibes from this era, it won't hit that scale but it feels its really putting kylie on the map again and it's getting crossover appeal which is something kylie has struggled with for a while

PP is on bigger playlists and also it got a boost from being tagged on Tension single on Spotify

Guess it’s on loads more playlists not just NMF….plus the rise in its numbers is mostly due to people playing it after Tension, if they just play straight off her page, rather than a playlist.

 

Expect Tension will drop off over the weekend whilst PP falls back less. Hopefully the success of PP will help Tension achieve better playlist placing sooner than PP did as that caught everyone by surprise.
