She also needs to send out a tweet or two about the remixes, not leave it until Monday.

 

Could we have a remixes CD with 2 different covers released too haha. (We had cassette and CD with extended mix) I know there is a limit on formats etc but let's see

Why the hell have they waited so long, we could've had a good top 40 run!

They waited because the album streams.

 

Streaming on Spotify is done on a monthly cycle so all these streams now will try to combat the drop in the album streams coming off after a month of release. This is the type of strategy they use. Release everything same time Album & Remixes and then all drop off/away at the same time and her monthly listeners totals drop more than if spaced out.

 

I guess they try different strategies.

 

All streams will count towards the success of the Tension album streams so would be good to support.

Tension (Chromeo Remix) seems to be the only remix doing anything.

Sad to see Kylie fans no supporting this. Literally looks like the worse performing remix on itunes she has ever released, yet you all asked for them...... no wonder they didnt release earlier if no one liked them.

 

Personally i really like them all, Chromeo and Dark Child my facvourites.

 

Maybe they won't release remixes anymore if no one is bothered. Please don't say its because they released on week 7 instead of week 5 lol, thats fickle

So far today i streamed Tension 50 times (10 x 5 song EP) now streaming album. I just leave it running in the other room

An individual streaming her remixes multiple times a day is such a drop in the ocean. I mean okay, it does things for BTS, due to the size of their fanbase who are tuned in to this sort of thing. But that will never ever be Kylie. Not enough people care that deeply to dedicate a portion of their day to repeated streaming (in the sense of, doing it with the sound low & not actually listening to it for enjoyment, just “to help her”). As I tend to say, it is of course somebody’s prerogative to do this if they want to. I wouldn’t say “don’t do that”. Personally, I don’t see the point and I won’t do it myself.

well yes i am not forcing anyone to do anything. I am just giving ideas to support a song, the remixers and maybe a chart position or two or simply just some streaming numbers . Some of those album tracks are barely getting 10,000 streams a day on Spotify thats really low. Even if 1000 Kylie fans worldwide streamed it 10 times a day thats 10,000 streams done already. It can help and boost some of those songs, some of those remixers who are trying to increase their streaming numbers and commissions etc

 

Everything adds up, streaming platforms, video watching etc.

 

People can do what they want, but don't say you helped or contributed if you didn't lol.

How her remixes and album tracks perform on streaming is extremely reliant on things that are out of our control though, like negotiations between label and streaming services, and sometimes it just comes down to luck (TikTok). Bigger numbers are only going to be attained if the songs reach people outside of the hardcore fanbase.

 

It’s just not realistic to expect/rely on her core fanbase to try and prop the album up for weeks after release. Her dedicated fans can really only do so much! By and large our support happens during the preorder months & in first week of release. Essentially, we’ve played our part. Fans will stream when they feel like listening, as opposed to “must give it 0.001 sales!”. It’s really up to Kylie/BMG if they’re particularly concerned about how Tension is performing after a month. None of us are letting them down.

 

Also I don’t think anyone is claiming to have helped and contributed while not having actually done so. I helped and contributed some weeks ago by buying CDs, cassette, and streaming while the song was really fresh. I’m not playing it as often anymore, because other artists grab my attention too.

Exactly. I resent that implication because you'd be hard pushed to find many people who've supported her as much as I have with every damn release anyway!
