13. Goodbye To Love

 

 

I don’t think I’ve ever heard this original before either. Honestly I must live under a rock - or maybe I’m just always poorly… or both?!

It’s a nice change of pace… but also very Claire Richards…

Ya the pace works with so many upbeat tracks,and it does suit claires.

It took us a while to actually do the listening party but glad we did, i enjoyed it and i still prefer this album to her debut.

12. Xanadu

One of my best friends is a fan of Steps, and he checked out Claire's album and liked it - particularly Xanadu, he loves that one. So I decided to buy him a personally signed CD from Banquet. I asked for "To (the name of my friend), Xanadu! Love Claire x", which she did. It was only some hours after ordering that I realised that the CD doesn't actually have the track 'Xanadu' on it! :lol: It's only on the Deluxe version. :drama: But hey, it's the thought that counts. :kink: I finally met up with him the other day to give it to him and he loved it! And he found the Xanadu thing hilarious. :lol:

I’m going to comment throughout the week when I have some time left.

 

1. Euphoria

 

To me it seems like they didn’t change a thing about the song, only the fact that Claire sings the song. And that’s the biggest issue for me..it doesn’t has a ‘Claire’ stamp. It’s not the worst song on the album so for now it’s a 5/10 for me.

2. Song for the lonely

 

The production of this track sounds like a Steps b-side around ‘98 or a #29 entry for ESC ‘05. I’m not trying to shade this album but it’s just that I personally don’t enjoy the majority of it. Sorry not sorry! The original version is much better so I give this track a 4/10 for now.

 

3. No more tears (enough is enough)

 

This is giving me cruiseschip vibes..too much ad lips as well. I love me some Delta but she doesn’t add something to this version of the song. Also, the overal choices for the songs seem pretty random to me? This one is a perfect example for me. On the positive, it’s very Claire. Still..my rating for this one is a 3/10..
