Zach/Kacey top 50 yas *.* And now only 7k between the top 2, Kenya for #1 tomorrow? Good to see Jungle continuing to climb too - heard that on Radio 1 yesterday evening and it was sounding great, would love that to make the top 40 soon.

Why is Take Me To Church back in the top 50?

It's been floating around not far off the top 50 for months, there's not any specific reason it's scraped in there now. It's just a perennially popular song like lots of other old songs in the chart.

Im actually surprised Jungle is not exploding, the song is all over tiktok

I read it was the most used song in stories last week

Why do Chase & Status have 3 songs in the chart? I'm not complaining but that's so unexpected.

Because drum n bass is popular again. And they've released 3 songs recently. x

(Not downplaying their achievement but if ever there was a time for a strong C&S resurgence right now does make sense!)

What was the first DnB hit of this revival, Luude's 'Down Under'?

I think maybe Bru-C - Streetside was the first one to appear in the charts? If you count that as a hit.

Surely his new album coming out last month has had some type of effect on TMTC?

Probably doesn't hurt but it's been a constant in the chart for a while before that.

Streetside deserved the success that the largely superfluous Down Under remix had.

crazy how Tom Odell-Black Friday is #12 on Amazon but down to #185 on Apple :/

also crazy how many Adele songs are charting on Amazon, with Set Fire to the Rain as high as #16!

Doja still clinging onto #1 today, 8k gap. Mitski up to #35 and Zach/Kacey up to #48.

Have listened to Mitski's album now and 'My Love Mine All Mine' is a really sweet little song - not one of my immediate favourites from the album (would probably only place it around my 7th or 8th fave in fact) but it's still nice to see it in the charts, I can see why it's the one that's caught on.

Doja Cat is dropping quite a bit in stream figures now, no one would guess it's album release week

here for Kenya to grab the #1 next week, a much much better song

This would have to be the longest run of female #1s in a while right? Billie > Dua > Olivia > Doja > Kenya

I can't think of an immediate one

There was the Leona - Alexandra Burke - Gaga - Lilly Allen - Kelly Clarkson but that's like >10 yers ago
The last time there were 5 female-led #1s in a row was 'We R Who We R'/'Price Tag'/'Someone Like You'/'Don't Hold Your Breath'/'On The Floor' in February-April 2011.
This would definitely have the distinction of being entirely solo females aswell then, given the above had B.o.B and Pitbull! Not that it makes it any less impressive.

two of those of course had male guest rappers though which makes the current run (female soloists only) more impressive (although with the asterisk of Billie and Dua only being number ones due to ACR rules)

and would Strangers be the second ever self written and self produced number one by a female soloist too? after Running Up That Hill from last year.
the one I posted is females only, at least per the OCC, as the guy featured in Gaga's Just Dance wasn't credited

And 'Wuthering Heights' from 1978!
