But didn't DUA get it last week even w/out her physicals? It gave her extra peace of mind and icing but almost certain she had it just with streaming and the other non physical metrics anyway? Either way, loving this quick old school-ish turnover of high quality #1s!! Not looking forward to the opposite happening though Lol- some cr*p act w/ an utter cr*p song using physicals to get #1 (& block a high quality song) Seeing how effective it's been the last month! Lol. Not if but when.

It happened in January LOL, though at least the song being blocked had already had a week at the top.

Dua would have been #1 even without her physicals yes,

although Olivia would have been #1 over Dua last week had she released the physicals then (she did 13k physicals this week which would have been enough had she sold all of those, or even just 8.2k of those, last week)

13K is insane! never would have predicted so many

:o oh my. Yup, easily would've taken it last week. THX for sharing. Was waiting on the #s.

Strong gut feeling (& heart palpitations most of the week hoping she would NOT release last minute against Dua lol). I very strongly felt she'd still beat her even w/ Dua's cassettes. Soo ALL worked out for the absolute best!

Omg I was dreading that would happen too. If that happened to our Dua I would have been so furious :arrr:

Poor Dave stalling at #41. Hope it stays out of the top 40

lmaooooo im crying this is so funny. 'poor him for not making it in, but he better stay out'

Yes, the cassettes weren't the deciding factor for Dua last week, but still notable that we've had 3 weeks in a row with new #1s with a fairly substantial contribution from cassette sales.

I’m loving the quick turnover for new #1s; three #1s in three weeks. Shame it ain’t on a 2000 level though and we’ll never it on a 2000 level ever again

Thank god it isn’t, some tripe got to no1 back then!

It Feels So Good by Sonique was the longest running #1 that year with three weeks at the top. Shame S Club 7 were kept off as a result

I think a lot of crap got there too because of held back releases as opposed to the 80s say in terms of the defining no1s!

2014 was on an even crazier level. 17 consecutive weeks where the #1 changed, that will certainly never happen again.
