They cancelled the physical release like 3 days before it was due to be released, when back then she relied on them (especially for a single that far into the campaign)

It's a miracle it even made #36 considering that.

I can’t even remember reading a reason for it being deleted. So strange. Considering In My Arms went Top 10 despite a peak of #23 on downloads, The One could have just made the Top 20.

I think at the time we were looking at a top 15, or maybe even another top 10 at an absolute push so it was disappointing to say the least.

Get Outta My Way - and it's three month delayed single release

Better Than Today - being chosen as a single when the album had so many other strong songs

Timebomb - Odd promo plus not even being included on the hits collection released around the time

Into The Blue - having it's single version removed midweek

Flower is the saddest of her low charting singles it deserved so much more such a beautiful song.

Totally agree, stunning song that showcased a different side to Kylie, I still love this song and wish it did better but least it made top 100 in the end.

This! And the fact that even a CD and 7” picture disc release only managed to drag it into the bottom end of the charts :drama:

Not that 2 hearts was the best lead single but i"ll let that go.

What I won't is - "IMA" was supposed to be the next single, instead she performs Wow on X Factor (in Dec, high sales time) - that ends up becoming an accidental single. And then the whole IMA was screwed up because at one point in time she was promoting IMA in EU and Wow in the UK.... and several import CD singles of IMA made it to the UK chart which impacted IMA's chart position.

At the time I felt like they were gearing up for 'Wow' as the second UK single by the time she performed it on X-factor, and it was generally the consensus as being the plan. I don't think it's a case of being an accidental single as such.

I remember at the time I desperately wanted it to be 'In My Arms' though.

I always wanted wow as the 2nd single and still think it was the right choice. In my arms didnt initially grab me but it has grown alot on me in the years since but i think still wow was the stronger single of the 2. X was just a weird time as it was a time the label clearly made so many strange decisions.

Aah ok, that makes sense

I never did like Wow and hate it more the older it (and I) get

I loved it at the time but I get practically zero enjoyment out of it these days. I think I must've outgrown it.

Same with 'Love Machine' by Girls Aloud, they're discography equivalents for me in that respect (and both have been overused in sofa adverts 😬)

Wow I still like and the version she did at the Royal Albert Hall Christmas show really added life to again for me as the libe orchestra added to it for me.
I loved Wow at the time - I think even more than I normally would have due to 2 Hearts  But agree, it’s not really a song I seek out or revisit now.

Yes i think for many of us wow was a big oh this is what we want from Kylie after 2 hearts, again 2 hearts isnt a bad song at all its just that it wasnt the right lead considering the choices they had.
