September 17, 20231 yr I haven’t listened to any leak, demo, snippet so aside from the three singles it’ll all be new to me! I’m very excited. I’m also very excited to crow about having the Test Pressing to morons on Instagram who think they’re entitled to it :)
September 17, 20231 yr The chances of another PP sized hit is unlikely but Tension has already outdone what many of her other singles managed by going top 20 and I think what's really positive is it would have went top 40 alone on streams which does show a significant change. The album should gain long term on streams which I think puts it in a position to outsell both golden and disco. Tension was helped by physical release boosting sales in the first week. BMG have not used that strategy previously. Also, tensions sales were likely to be affected to some degree on the back of the success of Padam but I think Kylies chances of repeat T40 hits are slim given her age and lack of airplay / promotion unless BMG continue to evolve new strategies to boost her.
September 17, 20231 yr Food or Kylie? Gas or Kylie? Electric or Kylie? Not everyone is in the same position though are they, yes for some it’s a consideration but for others it’s not. Hence why we’re seeing artists with an active physical buying fanbase such as Kylie, Taylor, Olivia etc., still pull in big numbers despite what is or isn’t going on with the economy.

As for the sales, I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t get to 60k. Loads of formats, now signed CDs, a big hit, a minor hit, and also her own pop up store? Not to mention inevitably increased streaming. 60k is the least I expect for the week.

September 17, 20231 yr Well done Pippa ! I am a fan, but if I don't like something I will be honest. I am not one of those fans that fakes loving everything for the sake of pleasing others. Last album I really loved was Golden. Don't like what I say...............ignore babes! :heart:

Yes, there are lots of formats but 60k is a big ask in the current climate. Olivia Rodrigo only just managed to sell 60k last week on the back of a highly successful first album and two hit singles.
