BIGGEST HIT: RIPTIDE (#10, 2014)

As far as Joseph-core artists go Alec Benjamin is one of the best, I did like his top 40 hit but he's had some even better songs since then ('Match In The Rain' is my fave). A shame he is hampered with his only other minor chart appearance being a collaboration with Dream (recently outed as a creep as if there was any need for another reason to not like him x).

edit: forgot he did have a third low top 100 hit as well

Travis Scott would have made my list too probably. I am actually a little surprised he only appeared on 2 people's lists but then maybe there's a reason people didn't want to vouch for him x

There's surprisingly few stars who have appeared who I would have given points to but Travis Scott would have done - just love his ambient/prog rock style like in 'The Scotts' and 'Highest in the Room'.

'Let Me Down Slowly' is a beautiful lament. Shame it wasn't bigger than it was.

The Chronic again an iconic hip hop album of the 90s, not as good as Illmatic but a good display of the West Coast's glitzy and finely produced sound. Dr Dre does also have a fair few great tunes outside of that x

Oops at Otis Redding that low, admittedly I only really love the obvious Sitting On The Dock of a Bay, but probably should be higher x

Awww I like Matt Cardle, he's actually delivered some great songs over the years and he has a great voice too. Don't come for me but I'd probably rank him level with Leona as my favourite X Factor winner.

Surprised Dr Dre didn't pick up a few more votes considering how iconic and seminal some of his work is.

Glad I wasn't the only one who gave points to my 27 pointers!

BIGGEST HIT: POPULAR (#11, 2023)

Was hoping I could rely on Nate for J.I.D to appear here :magic: fast becoming a contender for my favourite rapper of all time, hopefully the new year will finally bring him a top 40 hit that isn't attached to a subpar Imagine Dragons song (although I appreciate that he still put in the effort to give that song frankly a much better featured verse than it deserved).

Gary Numan is a great shout too, his latest album was brilliant and I love basically everything I've heard from his classic era material as well

Playboi Carti is very hit or miss for me but he deserves an appearance here for 'Magnolia' alone x

My favourites from Gary Numan: 'Are "Friends" Electric' (as Tubeway Army but I consider solo), 'Cars', and later on 'Radio Heart', but I like plenty of his other tracks I've only recently come across such as 'M.E.'
Matt Redman had a UK Top 20? Past me by. Will check it out. Pleased that my 28 pointer got more votes than just me.

Oh wow it's been ages since one of my votes last dropped out! Gary Numan  love a fair amount of his late 70s/early 80s work and he's had some good songs recently too e.g. 'Intruder'

Think we have very similar music tastes! Tricky's debut 'Maxinquaye', with wonderful vocals by Martine Topley Bird, is a fantastic listen and more accessible than his follow ups. Do love later singled 'Christiansands' and 'Broken Homes' (featuring PJ Harvey) too. He can make any track he appears on very eerie with his tone of voice.

It does seem to be the case *.* thanks for this, have been meaning to check out Maxinquaye especially, will get on it at some point.

So, in theory, everyone's maximum pointer is now in play and tomorrow we'll have the final day of any single vote acts. We'll do a recap of all the acts we've revealed so far plus of course the first voters chart to see who's out in front as we hit the 30 pointers!
Ne-Yo was everywhere circa 2010, wasn't he! Though I am surprised his 5 numbers ones all came in 5 different years.

Not surprised I'm the only one who voted for Hardwell!

Still, I hope I'm not the only one who gave my 30-pointer.

I don't think I'd have remembered Sampha was eligible for this! Only thanks to a pre 3 track rule era Drake album bomb ofc :P (shame 'Father Time' w/ Kendrick couldn't quite give him a second top 40 hit, not to mention any of his own songs ofc)

Adam Ant not making Jade's list :o (I guess more notable as a group leader than a solo artist x)
