January 5, 20241 yr Morrissey remaining top 40 is very impressive. :o Suedehead is my fave from his solo career and Panic my fave from The Smiths.
January 5, 20241 yr I really must listen to more Kendrick and James Blake. Morrissey would have given more but he is such a w*n**r, although quieter recently that he has been.. Top rapper is pretty much a given I would have thought!
January 5, 20241 yr Morrissey faves: 'Everyday Is Like Sunday', 'Irish Blood, English Heart', 'Suedehead'. As with everyone else, I'm only judging the musical output to his name.

January 6, 20241 yr Moby easily my fave of these three, a reliably good name but probably not one I'd have voted for. Sam Fender has a couple of great songs ('Play God' is still my fave) but I've struggled to get fully on board with the hype around him. I like Lenny Kravitz' couple of big hits well enough but I'm shocked that many people voted for him...!
January 6, 20241 yr Nice high debut for Sam, my faves from him are 'Seventeen Going Under' (inevitably), 'Angel In Lothian' and 'Hypersonic Missiles'. A second Top 40 hit is well overdue!
January 6, 20241 yr I don't mind Sam Fender but I've never really got the massive hype for him. Lenny Kravitz has so many belters in his discography  I'm not sure I can even pick a fave but I love all of his big hits and 'I'll Be Waiting' is an under-the-radar classic!

January 7, 20241 yr Fab to see Paolo in the top 40 *.* I also really like tracks by all artists from 38 upwards so far too. Nice to see Roy get some love even if I didn't point him!
January 7, 20241 yr I've only heard his most recent album in full but Paolo has had at least one great single from each era for me ('Iron Sky' is his masterpiece ), nice shout there. Not super familiar with Roy Orbison's music really but I have liked what I've heard. Not a fan of Enrique in general but he has a couple of bops ('Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song)' probably my fave).
January 7, 20241 yr My favourite Moby album is 1995's 'Everything is Wrong' - it's a bit not polished and rough around the edges - because he wasn't sure he would release another one. Real mix of styles from with ambient trance, euphoric house, industrial rock and a couple of beautiful ballads. And really bears his soul and vulnerability on it,lot of anger but beauty too. The closer 'When it's Cold I'd like to Die' with Mimi Goese vocals just goes so deep. Although my favourite ever Moby track is probably 'Play's' closing and a mainstay of chillout compilations, the world music mood piece that approaches a glorious crescendo 'My Weakness'.
January 7, 20241 yr Like a lot of these, Sam is one of my most favourite male artists, very rare a male artist grabs my attention these days! Lenny, Enrique, Roy, Paolo great too, completely forgot to vote for Paolo Edited January 7, 20241 yr by Lukuzz
