January 16, 20241 yr I prefer Bruno's uptempo/funky stuff to his ballads that mostly sound like bad chat-up lines in a song ('It Will Rain' excepted  ) Harry is good at what he does and I like his songs, but he doesn't hugely excite me.
January 16, 20241 yr Whats Sir Phil done? Yous cancelled him now too? I heard dandy* banned Phil from Buzzjack. :( He had been a regular in the Sugababes forum. This is a wonderful idea! I hadn't thought of cancelling him but I'll add 'Phil Collins' to the swear word filter! It's not like that's ever backfired before.
January 16, 20241 yr Both Bruno and Harry are decent. I considered points for both but couldn't fit them in. They both fall into the category of me not wanting to listen to any of their studio albums in full but would happily listen to a 15 track playlist of their best songs (although Harry's second album was closest)
January 16, 20241 yr Bruno's first two eras were really good, so my 3 points for him is largely based on those. I do like Harry but I just didn't have enough room for him in my votes. My predictions: 10 ? 9 Prince 8 Robbie Williams 7 Calvin Harris 6 Eminem 5 David Bowie 4 Justin Timberlake 3 Elton John 2 George Michael 1 Michael Jackson Can't think of the obvious one I've missed. Have we had Rod Stewart yet?
January 16, 20241 yr This is a wonderful idea! I hadn't thought of cancelling him but I'll add 'Phil Collins' to the swear word filter! It's not like that's ever backfired before.
January 16, 20241 yr Harry that high with only two albums is something! I don't think that really matters in a BuzzJack vote, I remember the days when Leona Lewis would be very high up with only one album! (Although Harry does actually have three albums)
January 16, 20241 yr Ooh that's the first time I've been top of the voters lists *.* I was a bit of a bellwether here clearly x (I don't remember who I voted for as I didn't save them oops :kink:) Bruce Springsteen is a legend, Born to Run is an excellent album showing the best of the wall of sound and he has a fair handful of great songs. Stevie Wonder also, though he mainly got my votes for Songs in the Key of Life, outside of that, his work's a bit patchy. I don't hate Ed Sheeran quite to the extent of some on here, but it is irritating how safe and formulaic his music can be when he clearly has talent. I wish he'd use his platform to experiment rather than just stick to surefire hits.
January 16, 20241 yr Hopefully The Weeknd is quite high this time around! Bruno has an excellent catalogue (the Silk Sonic era is criminally underrated imo). Harry also has also had a few bangers across his career so far ('Sign Of The Times', 'Lights Up', and 'Satellite' probably being my fav three from him)
January 16, 20241 yr Oh that's a great position for Harry and richly deserved *.* nice for the highest act I voted for to be my 30 pointer at least...!
January 16, 20241 yr I don't think that really matters in a BuzzJack vote, I remember the days when Leona Lewis would be very high up with only one album! (Although Harry does actually have three albums) So he does !! Sillg Me !!
January 16, 20241 yr Hopefully The Weeknd is quite high this time around! From what I know about The Weeknd's lifestyle and fondness for ahem, sweeties that made me chuckle! Thought Harry and Ed would be Top 10 tbh. I reckon George Michael could well win this time if the Michael Jackson controversy costs votes...
January 17, 20241 yr Stevie Wonder of course a legend and I do like a fair share of Ed songs despite how omnipresent he is all the time practically and some naff singles in there too. Bruno is underrated for me and hope he can have another successful era like his first few years again someday and then Harry has some good songs too but not sure I'd put him in my votes still!
