I’m sure the OCC could quickly collect the Spotiple Thursday numbers as a one off or stick in an “estimate”. :)

Close call but yas at The Beatles pulling off a #1 debut on Spotify *.* I'm sure it should stay #1 with a more comfortable lead for its first full day but who knows beyond that.

Would be great to see 'Love Me Do' re-entering the top 40 as well - I think it automatically gets a reset under the newly revised rules if I remember them correctly as it's obviously not charted for well over 3 years.

A song called 'Is It Over Now?' being knocked off #1 by 'Now And Then' seems kind of fitting x (especially as The Beatles are indeed over now).

This Hotvibez is some random anonymous dancehall performer, but I suspect this song's streams are not legit tbh as I can't find anything on it on the internet.

That seems like a great second day hold for the Xmas songs? How does it compare to Nov 2nd last year?

Yes it is a fantastic hold for both Mariah and Wham!

Mariah went #41 -> #51

Wham! went #54 -> #70

Last year

I worry Troye has no chance at top 10 now :cry:
I worry Troye has no chance at top 10 now :cry:

If it hangs around long enough, it could go top 10 after Christmas maybe?

That’s interesting, wonder why they are doing significantly better this time?

Someone did say stream in general are lower than this time last year could be the reason

I wouldn't be surprised if yesterday's storm played into the stronger hold of Xmas songs with more people stuck at home in need of a bit of levity.

One of Your Girls was on autoplay last week - it always came on a playlist/album ended for me. That probably inflated its numbers, shame it couldn't go top ten.

Totally

With my friends we did this test and everytime we played 1989 TV on full

The first song after on autoplay was always One of your Girls

The Beatles are already #4 on Amazon. I find it hard to believe that it won't be #1 next week with physicals.

Edit: Actually it's #2 on the Amazon overall chart, but #4 on the Prime chart ("Vampire" is #1 on the prime chart - it's excluded from the non-prime chart for some reason?).

It’s excluded from the public version of the (prime I think, rather than unlimited) chart because it is explicit. When you login, the explicit tracks are included.

Someone did say stream in general are lower than this time last year could be the reason

Their streams are 50% higher this year. Though why, I don’t know.

But also the gap between Mariah and Wham! is currently less than half of what it was this time last year.
Streams are higher this year by about 2% or so but streams of the top 10 songs are lower as more people of varying ages start streaming!
Cruel summer could have an interesting chart run if it's back in next week but been declining enough that it's back out the week after
