10 October 1988 saw the release of Kylie's fourth single, the French-titled 'Je ne sais pas porquoi' (translating as 'I Don't Know Why'). It was another commercial hit, particularly in the UK where it became Kylie's fourth Top 2 hit - the best start for a female vocalist ever - and came within 500 copies of reaching #1. Initial plans were for the B-side, 'Made in Heaven', to be promoted as a single when the single started to drop in the charts, but the idea was dropped in favour of Jason Donovan collaboration 'Especially for You'.

35 years on, what are your thoughts and memories of 'Je ne sais pas pourquoi' and its B-side, 'Made in Heaven'.

I always prefered made in heaven and i still do, i also like je ne sais pas pourquai aswell but probably not as much as her singles at the time. Looking back though the sound was so different for PWL and there is no other song they done that is anything like it.
The song was so different to everything else on the album which helped it stand out.
Not only different to everything on the album it was different in general as there was no other song in any way like it in the charts at that time either.
