We’ll have to see what random on the spot decision the OCC make when the time comes. :P My guess is that they’ll let it stay on SCR until the end of December.

Didn’t OCC say that they would never give random resets to old Xmas songs? If that’s the case, then Ed & Elton would need to gain a massive increase next November if they wanna get a reset in next years chart

My Love Mine All Mine is gorgeous - the week it dropped 8-11 I thought it was over and would plummet from there but it’s gone on to have a great run.

Can’t Catch Me Now is really growing on me - hopefully will be big in the new year.

The OCC haven't mentioned "random resets" ever, they've said Christmas songs won't ever be eligible for automatic resets if they're over 3 years old.

Chase & Status

Chase & Status are an English electronic music duo composed of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). In addition, Andy Gangadeen is the drummer when the band performs live. MC Rage formerly performed as MC with the group, but left in July 2021 to focus on solo ventures. The duo are from London, and formed in 2003 after meeting at university in Manchester. The duo have since released five studio albums and collaborated with major artists such as Plan B, CeeLo Green, Rihanna, Example, and Tinie Tempah. They run the independent record label MTA Records. - Wikipedia

Bou

Bou is a standout graduate of drum & bass’s new generation. As Beatport has documented, the second half of the previous decade saw a renaissance in jagged, jump-up sounds that propelled a whole crop of producers to the forefront of the genre. A vanguard of established artists — most notably the Kings of the Rollers — led the charge, but Bou and others were one row back, crafting their sound and shaping drum & bass’s roughshod evolution. After a friend introduced him to drum & bass through the free party scene, Bou got hooked on YouTube production tutorials and the SoundCloud jump-up community from the age of 16. Now 25 years old, Bou is a highly successful artist and touring DJ, having recently remixed both High Contrast’s classic “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” and DJ Fresh’s “Gold Dust.” With an upward-trending trajectory and a sound that has begun to move into more radio-friendly territory, Bou is entering the next chapter of his story. Bou’s trajectory has matched the rising fortunes of the genre as a whole, and it’s impossible to deny that he has played a central role in the rough-and-tumble jump-up sounds that have defined the genre. Should drum & bass take a turn toward the mainstream, it seems likely he’ll help write that chapter too. - Beatportal

Didn’t OCC say that they would never give random resets to old Xmas songs? If that’s the case, then Ed & Elton would need to gain a massive increase next November if they wanna get a reset in next years chart

I love how you always say "if they wanna" in these scenarios when it's something the artists in question mostly likely aren't even consciously thinking about or aware of

The OCC haven't mentioned "random resets" ever, they've said Christmas songs won't ever be eligible for automatic resets if they're over 3 years old.

That’s what I meant just say that if Ed & Elton tried to get a manual reset next year in December when it’s past the 3 year threshold

Can't Catch Me Now is an absolute stunner! It is tragic that it probably won't go top 10 due to Christmas songs and I expect that the Hunger Games hype will have died down a lot by January
'Baddadan' to get a 4th run in the Top 10 in January probably (kind of wish its last week at #10 had been at #11 instead so it could have an unprecedented 5th run without leaving the chart altogether).
That’s what I meant just say that if Ed & Elton tried to get a manual reset next year in December when it’s past the 3 year threshold

That's not the point I'm making though. If it gets reset this week next year as it has done this year, that would be before the three year threshold

Hey Joseph. This isn't related to the chart in any way, but The Kid LAROI's "Always Do" has been certified Silver this week for selling 200,000 units.

Biography

There’s purpose in Dua Lipa’s euphoric pop. “For me, it’s about championing women and putting ourselves in the position of power,” the singer told Apple Music in 2020, ahead of the release of her second album, Future Nostalgia. “I have been inspired by the female alphas that have shown me that we can do it. And that we can wear the pants, you know? We need more of that in music.” Forcing the world to get a little more comfortable with female alphas has been a mission statement for Lipa (born in London to Kosovar Albanian parents in 1995) since her 2017 self-titled debut. It housed the triumphant breakup smash “New Rules”, the self-love anthem “IDGAF” and the assured “Hotter Than Hell”—songs which made it clear that this was no ingénue, but rather an outspoken, effortlessly cool face of pop’s future. Indeed, that status was cemented a year later when Lipa made history as the first female solo artist to receive five BRIT Award nominations. She won two and, in 2019, added two Grammys to her mantelpiece.

Despite the success of her debut, Lipa wasn’t interested in recreating its hits. “People always say, ‘The second album is really scary,’ but for me, it’s more scary to go back into the studio and try to create something like ‘New Rules’ or ‘IDGAF’ over and over again,” she said. “I feel like I’d end up in a vicious cycle of trying to get somewhere but never being able to mature as an artist.” And so, to move forward, she pivoted to the past, drawing on disco and funk—and filtering it through her ahead-of-its-time pop—to arrive at Future Nostalgia. Decadent and every bit as empowering as those early hits, it brought Lipa her first Mercury Prize nod, multiple Grammy nominations and a rightful place in pop’s upper echelons. And with it, too, came Lipa’s new purpose. Released just as the world went into lockdown amid the coronavirus crisis, Future Nostalgia became an urgent tonic for tough times—danced to in living rooms across the world. Yet Lipa wasn’t done there: Five months later, she unveiled Club Future Nostalgia, a thrilling remixed version on which the singer teamed up with club queen The Blessed Madonna, and guests including Madonna, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani and Mark Ronson, to bring lockdown-fatigued listeners another dose of escapism. “I didn’t think I’d be putting albums out during a global pandemic,” added Lipa. “But it’s just about creating experiences for everyone at home. That’s the most important thing for me now.”

All of this, of course, is only just the beginning. “I really feel like I’m finding my feet,” said Lipa. “I feel so proud of Future Nostalgia as a whole and the most confident and the most myself making it. But I’m already planning the next move.” - Apple Music

I love 'Baddadan' but prefer the instrumental as the music on its own is so powerful and deserves full focus!
