Beyoncé released a new single yesterday thanks to the release of her new Renaissance tour film! Let's just say that this song has had an interesting reception on here so far :lol:

 

I was expecting something really bad from seeing people saying how much they hated it... but having listened just now, I quite enjoyed it and think it's a natural progression of the types of thing she was doing on the album.

It’s just noise. It’s not ‘DIVA’ levels of unlistenable noise, but I still can’t bear to listen to it. Her worst in a very long time for me.

It works as the end credits to the film, and is a fun moment in that context but it is obviously not her best.

Just an awful racket, no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

This is so.. forgettable superficial and self-indulgent. Meh.

I love her and Renaissance was my favourite album last year but yeah.....this is awful :(

Perhaps her worst ever song? F'n hideous.

Diva is an apt comparison. Two times Beyonce thought releasing an absolute cacophony was a solid idea.

This has been fairly successful on Spotify for what it is - I guess it would be streamed less if it wasn't attached to the tour movie.
