I think in reality it’s something that’s always great fun as a one off but becomes a bit of a chore as soon as you feel you have to do it every week.

Yeah, I suspect this is pretty much the case. Perhaps if there were 5 questions rather than 10 people would find it less of a chore.

I'll add your predictions to my spreadsheet so we can see where you would have finished but obviously you won't get any points!

the problem for me last time is that every week was an independent chart prediction as opposed to a sorta "race", not sure how to explain it...

last time it was like you are the closest at predicting this week, ok, that's it, you're the 3rd best next week, ok, that's it

it would be much more interesting if it was a yearly race, so every week you get points and it's accumulative rather than a one-off

also the problem is the timeframe, the prediction should be in much much earlier, makes no sense imho to makes them after the First Look

should even be more interesting to make them before any data from Fri streams is available

Will bear that in mind when setting it up in January.

I also appreciate people who say it would become a chore if it had to be done every week, would people maybe find it more enjoyable if it was like a once per month thing?

I think like previously mentioned rather than asking to predict the top 10 singles every week and the top 5 albums, it would be more interesting to do questions similar to this thread e.g predict the number 1 single and what the sales will be, same with the #1 album. Then maybe pick a random song within the top 40 and ask to predict its position with the closest getting the most points.

Also like Bjork said I think it would be more interesting to do it like say the person who finished 1st gets so many points, then 2nd and 3rd and so on. Then make a final leaderboard and update it each week.

Yeah, basically this!

i think i overestimated the greatest hits lmao. i dont really follow thr albums outside the top 5/10 tbh so it was a complete random guess but i feel like theres plenty of old albums still charting as opposed to gh and in my mind i combined the both lmao
