My god what a tedious chart. I lowkey hope Alexa takes the #1 just for the sake of having a new chart topper even if the song is incredibly meh (justice for Space Man, never forget etc...)

 

Couldn't give a feck what order the rest of them* line up in, let's be honest it will be roughly what it always is.

 

*oh and guess i'm kinda interested to see if Cher can get another new peak position.

Same I hated it a few years ago but it's climbed into my top 3 most played along with, Christmas tree farm , and santa can't you hear me , pushing Underneath the tree 4th for the first time in 4 years

I’d love for Cher, Feliz Navidad and AIWFCIY to appear on the next rehashing of Now Christmas if they decide to rehash it next year

I mean sure if you ignore all of the lyrics as well as the instrumental. (Although I'm not sure what that leaves as musical elements that would be unique to Christmas songs x)

Perhaps it just hasn’t been around long enough for me to make it feel Christmassy but I thought that would have happened by now, but it hasn’t. As you say does Wham feel like Christmas? It does to me every time I hear the opening instrumental but maybe it’s just me!

 

I also am not a fan of the lyrics!

I hope Sam Ryder gets number 1. I don't like the Alexa method of manipulating the charts, but he's someone I think deserves a number 1, he worked his socks off last week to try and get it.

It was a myth that went round for years that it was original written for Easter, and something about changing the word Easter for Christmas would be more successful and appealing, its been long debunked

Mariah did appear on last years edition even though it wasn’t with AIWFCIY but hopefully that changes next year and I also forgot Sam Ryder. I hope he appears next year

Erm Ladbaby is worse by miles and miles? I guess Alexa gets her “sales” in a shadier way though.

 

I still think Wham! should do at least 90k this week so far from certain Alexsam will get it.
