There’s no way that Amazon chart is legit, I mean just look at it, #9 is Lord - Royals, #15 is Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

Songs from years ago that aren’t charting anywhere else. Seems very bizarre to me

I also think there's something that doesn't add up

but actually it's no the old songs cos Amazon has always been like this, full of old songs much more than Spotify or Apple, charting high very randomly, but that almost makes sense to me cos the Amazon audience I reckon is older

what doesn't make sense to me is situtation where a song is super high on Amazon, like Lost Frequencies/Bastille and then it doesn't chart at all in the top 100 come Friday... also happened before Xmas with Flo Rida or Ruth B/Dean Lewis

I can't make sense of it either. I'm just choosing to basically ignore the Amazon chart outside of Christmas because the information is of no use to me as I can't understand exactly what it means.

Basically we are believing that in December the Amazon charts streams are higher than Spotify but the rest of the year they’re back down to 10% of the market again?
Noah (GLADLY) pulling very strong numbers, I wonder how much Ariana can do in 3 days.
Ugh can The Weeknd’s label just ask for a reset for Popular! It’s so unfair because it has surely risen by over 25%. I just want Madonna to get her 64th top 10

Edited by No Sleeep

was checking how the recent leads for Ariana did...

with the Swetener era, No Tears did very well, debuted with 543K and climbed to a peak of 622K during the week, far from # cos One Kiss and Drake were close to 1 million... The whole first week was: 543K-546-546-616-622-617-577

God is a Woman did worse in comparison, opening with 293K but climbing to 362K during the week and actually peaking on album release day with 426K.

her biggest era has definitely been with Thank U Next. The song opened with 590K but climbed like crazy during the week and even crossed the 1 million mark on day 6. The first week sales were: 590K-785-853-929-980-1,007-895

Follow-up 7 Rings also did very well, opening with 809K and increasing to 906K during the week. On album release week it would peak at 907K. Third single Break up... pushed on album release week started with 785K and peaked at 798K during the week

Positions by comparison did worse. Opened with 541K and dropped thru the week: 541K-455-414-439-417-404-395

Climbed on week 2 due to the album release peaking at 619K but quickly dropped: 619K-496-424-483-463

So if after the hiatus she goes back to the level of Thank U Next, she will be #1... but she does like Position, she might be stuck at #2 behind Noah

Ugh, I want the OCC to reset Popular. It's never been this high on Spotify before. And that #11 peak looks ugly.

I do believe Amazon has a significantly lower share of the streaming market for normal songs than they do for Christmas songs but Lost Frequencies showing as their chart's #1 is definitely sus, hard to believe that would be real while it is not in the midweek top 100. But at least Amazon displaying their own charts incorrectly (intentionally or otherwise - we know that they do have some editorial impact on what the chart displays because they hid the Christmas songs after Christmas Day, but I don't know what they get out of fraudulently putting Lost Frequencies at #1) is better than them sending fake numbers to the OCC I guess?

'Something In The Orange' nearly in the top 50 on Spotify for the first time! I saw it was in the midweek top 100 again this week even on ACR, I still think a reset wouldn't go amiss but I doubt they'd bother asking for a manual reset when he has a current bigger hit anyway.

I don't feel the mega hype is really there... but we'll see, good numbers for sure.

He's doing amazing and I wish he'll stay number 1.

I have a feeling next week will be #1 Noah, #2 Sophie and #3 Ariana
Nice to see BMTH shoot back up Spotify yesterday - any idea why?
As much as I’m always here for an Ariana drop & always want her to smash… I’m rooting for Sophie! Just needs to keep climbing!

HH are really being morons regarding Sophie, how long can they keep ignoring the success of the song? Sophie could easily get 100K extra streams if added high

no clue why BMTH climbed but it's the kinda music that does better on a Monday than on a Sunday, which usually favors adult-oriented stuff

Wait until you see their fans then

In fairness they’ve been around long another to have a decent adult fanbase haha, but a lot of them are emo teenagers.

Noah breaking 700k today!

Sophie 486k with Jack on 435k

Teddy and Sabrina seemingly reaching new peaks of 10 and 16 respectively.
