January 11, 20241 yr It’ll be safely in the top 10 tomorrow! I don’t mind it, it just a bit meh for me but it’s by no means a bad song. I just can’t really get fully into it.

January 17, 20241 yr I've only just seen what he looks like and it's completely thrown me, all this time I just assumed he was a young black R&B/soul singer :o It does sound like a cross between R&B and indie, very Rag'n'Bone Man. January 17, 20241 yr I would agree with putting this in the R&B forum, I know Wikipedia categorisation isn't foolproof but the only genres listed for it there are R&B and soul. It's also tagged only as 'pop soul' on RateYourMusic. Definitely wouldn't put it in the Indie forum but then again as always I must remember that BuzzJack's description of indie also includes vaguely alternative pop. The genre debate is probably more interesting than the actual song here :kink: it's ok I suppose x
January 18, 20241 yr Author It’s a tricky one! I usually like to have an artist’s music all in the same forum, and I’d probably class his other music as mainly just standard pop with a bit of country and R&B thrown in.
March 20, 20241 yr Airplay sounds about right, it doesn’t count towards the ARIA chart but radio in Australia has been slamming this song. Not as much as Beautiful Things (which is actually #1) but I put that down to one of them actually being an enjoyable song ;)
March 20, 20241 yr really hate it when this happens this song is #10 on Spotify with barely 1 million, while Kaney, Ariana, Djo are all doing double but this borefest is gonna go to #1 cos of airplay :/
