Instead, the Swedish singer feels most on point when she’s able to “just feel it.” Larsson’s ability to convey that mix of youthful confidence and emotional intensity helped make her one of Europe’s biggest new music stars while she was still in her teens. Born in 1997 in a suburb of Stockholm, Larsson first found fame in Sweden when her performance of Céline Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” clinched her victory on a TV talent show at the age of 10. After leaving school to focus on her music full time, she released her debut album, 1, in 2014, which topped the charts throughout Scandinavia and landed her a U.S. record deal. By the time she was scoring international hits alongside British rapper Tinie Tempah on “Girls Like” and guesting on David Guetta’s “This One’s for You,” she was fast developing beyond the familiar dance-pop templates and demonstrating a boldness that evoked Beyoncé and Rihanna, two of her biggest influences. (She paid tribute to another inspiration a few years later when she released a sumptuous cover of Robyn’s “With Every Heartbeat.”) “Never Forget You,” a thrilling collaboration with British singer and producer MNEK that also marked Larsson’s first songwriting effort, became her first major U.S. success. Together with the album So Good, the song established the power and allure of Larsson’s sleek yet impassioned brand of EDM-powered pop. - Apple Music David Guetta From his early days playing Chicago house in French discotheques to his long reign atop the pop charts, David Guetta has revolutionised dance music multiple times. Born in Paris in 1967, Guetta began DJing in the late ’80s, when the shimmery sound known as the “French touch” was taking shape. By the early 2000s, at his F*** Me I’m Famous parties in Ibiza, he had translated that melodic style into a clever merger of pop sass and club swagger. He parlayed that mix into pure platinum with hits like 2003’s “Just for One Day”, an energy-stoking rework of David Bowie’s “Heroes”, and 2002’s “Just a Little More Love”, a sultry bump-and-grind featuring R&B singer Chris Willis. That versatility—along with a knack for killer hooks—would become one of Guetta’s principal calling cards, and as EDM exploded across pop culture at the end of the 2000s, Guetta’s shapeshifting style led the way, yielding ecstatic affirmations (“When Love Takes Over”), feisty come-ons (“Sexy Bitch”) and unstoppable singalongs (The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”, which Guetta produced). Since then, his collaborations (Sia, Nicki Minaj) have kept listeners guessing even as his choruses—triumphant as a bottle of bubbly blowing its top—have proven one of pop’s most dependable pleasures. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Zara Larsson 2015 05 Never Forget You (MNEK & Zara Larsson) -1- MILLIONAIRE 2016 03 Lush Life -2- MILLIONAIRE 2016 05 Girls Like (Tinie Tempah feat. January 12, 20242 yr FTCU is probably my favourite thing I’ve heard from Nicki lately. Such a relief not to have an awful sample use! Speaking of which… 'FTCU' does actually have a prominent sample in it as well, just a song that's a lot less well known at least in the UK (Waka Flocka Flame - Fuck The Club Up).
January 12, 20242 yr Author Liam Gallagher beaten by David Guetta, thank goodness real music is prevailing x

January 12, 20242 yr Author 14 | 16 | 20th week Zach Bryan featuring Kacey Musgraves I Remember Everything 1st single from Zach Bryan Released: 25th August 2023 Label: Belting Bronco Records Chart Statistics NE (07/09/2023) | 56-50-45-35-37-37-29-26-22-23-19-22-24-33-47-51-50-82-16-14 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 57 Sales 29 Audio Streaming 00 Video Streaming Video ZVVvJjwzl6c Biography A plaintive, quivering country troubadour indebted to the literary side of Red Dirt country -- he wrote a song saluting Evan Felker of the Turnpike Troubadours, one of the genre's leading lights of the 2010s -- Zach Bryan began carving out a career for himself while he was still enlisted in the Navy. He recorded his 2019 debut DeAnn during a break in his service and it, along with videos he posted online, helped him cultivate an audience that crested with the 2020 release of Elisabeth and its accompanying single "Heading South." Bryan capitalized on this burgeoning popularity with American Heartbreak, a sprawling 2022 triple album that marked his major-label debut and mainstream breakthrough: it debuted at number one on Billboard's Country Albums chart. He consolidated his success in 2023 with a self-titled album that featured the hit duet with Kacey Musgraves, "I Remember Everything." A native of Oklahoma, spending time in both Oologah and Tulsa, Zach Bryan received his first guitar at the age of 14. Soon he learned how to play, then started to write songs. When he came of age, Bryan enlisted in the Navy, just like his parents before him and his father's father before that. During his spare time in the service, he wrote songs. While on leave, he spent some time relaxing at an Airbnb in Jacksonville, Florida. He and his friends spontaneously decided to record the songs that became his 2019 debut DeAnn; he named the album after his late mother. DeAnn earned positive buzz among Red Dirt aficionados, so Bryan decided to record a second album in the same fashion. Featuring the single "Heading South," the resulting Elisabeth appeared in 2020. The following year saw Bryan release live versions of "Hell or Highwater" and "Condemned," and make his debut at the Grand Ole Opry. "From Austin" appeared in early 2022 as the lead single to his third record, American Heartbreak, a triple album issued through Warner Records in May 2022. The release found an audience, debuting at number one on the Billboard Country chart and five on its Top 200. Bryan supported the album with an extensive tour, the final show of which was captured on the LP All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live from Red Rocks). In January 2023, Bryan released the single "Dawns," which featured Maggie Rogers. A relatively succinct 16-song eponymous effort arrived on August 25, featuring appearances by Kacey Musgraves, the Lumineers, Sierra Ferrell, and the War and Treaty. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History Zach Bryan 2022 70 Something In The Orange -1- 2023 14 I Remember Everything (feat. Instead, he bought it. After all, he figured if someone puts your name next to Tupac, you must be doing something right, even if they’re trying to take you down. Born Aubrey Drake Graham in Toronto in 1986, he—like Tupac—became the voice of a generation and prism for his pop-cultural moment. Was he an R&B singer who rapped or a rapper who sang? Was he really that sad, or just exploiting a cultural preference for male vulnerability? From the jump, he let his contradictions define him: Tender, but cruel; sober one minute and drunk-dialing the next; a guy who could convince you he was an underdog from his perch on top of the world. Lurid as his inner world is, the proof lies in his reach outward. A Drake project can incorporate house and club music (2022’s Honestly, Nevermind; 2017’s More Life) and red-eyed trap (2022’s 21 Savage collab Her Loss) with equal conviction and at no loss to the subjectivity at the center. “I obviously spend a lot of time in my own world,” he told Apple Music. “But when I do take a look at the broader scope of things… I've always tried to make music that transcends gender, nationality—to try and unify people. Because that’s really what it’s about.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Drake 2009 42 Forever (feat. Born in 1993, London-based songwriter/producer Fred John Philip Gibson treats his electro and rave-inspired songs as diary entries. But the artist, who performs under the name Fred Again.., doesn’t limit the subject matter to himself. On albums like 2021’s Actual Life (April 14 - December 17 2020) and its sequel, Actual Life 2 (February 2 - October 15 2021), Fred invited his friends into the studio to record their personal stories and then sprinkled them throughout the album. (The obvious exception was an epic Kodak Black sample on “Kahan (Last Year)”.) The songwriter has also worked with stars such as Eminem and Ed Sheeran, but Fred’s longest collaboration is with his brothers, whom he shares his tracks with before they’re released. “It’s such a blessing to work with both of my brothers,” Fred explained in an interview with Apple Music. “I’ll spend hours and hours working on a tune, and they’ll hear it how I will, but without all the baggage. They bring a fresh ear.” - Apple Music Baby Keem Baby Keem’s vocals are as animated as they are downplayed—an intentional pairing that makes for an unmistakable approach to rap. Born Hykeem Jamaal Carter Jr. in 2000, the Las Vegas-via-L.A. artist first began creating music at age 13, borrowing money from his grandmother to buy used equipment off of the internet. By his late teen years, he had already leapt ahead of his peers—his eclectic production methods and introspective songwriting led to contribution credits with some of the biggest names in the industry, notably pop supernova Beyoncé and rap luminary Kendrick Lamar (his rumoured cousin). On his debut mixtape, 2018’s The Sound of Bad Habit, Keem’s delivery expands and contracts, fluctuating between high-pitched and even-keeled on songs like the gutsy, dark intro “Wolves”. He settled confidently into his free-flowing style on his breakthrough 2019 follow-up, DIE FOR MY BITCH, which was led by the flippant “ORANGE SODA”, a stream of consciousness single where he rapped amusingly about his arbitrary dating parameters. His 2020 double single release furthered his musical modus operandi: the pensive, piano-driven “hooligan” showcased Keem’s ability to look inward and reflect, while the trappy, bass-heavy “sons & critics freestyle” found the rapper casually flexing on his contemporaries. No matter the topic, Keem thrives comfortably in his pocket, locked into a dynamic aesthetic that has set him apart since he began. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Fred again.. 2020 57 Charades (Headie One & Fred again..) -1- 2020 51 GANG (Headie One & Fred again..) -2- 2021 36 Marea (We've Lost Dancing) (Fred again.. & The Blessed Madonna) -1- 2022 78 Jungle -1*- 2022 27 Turn On The Lights again..
