The Deluxe CD with 17 songs looks fine :)

Tracklist:
1. Rocket
2. Spies
3. Pretty Face
4. Bite Your Tongue
5. Cocky
6. All My Life
7. Human
8. Morrissey
9 You
10 It’s OK Until The Drugs Stop Working
11 Pocket Rocket

--Deluxe—
12. Selfish Disco
13 G.E.M.B
14 Comment Section
15 f***ing Amazing
16 100% Beau
17. Desire (Official FIFA Anthem)

Well, I had feelings that Pocket Rocket would be the last song of the album but not sure I like the two songs have such big connections on a tracklist with 11 songs. So I'd prefer to see it on Deluxe.

Then, while I do like two first singles, I hope there will be not only 3-mins songs. Just listened Rudebox & IC (what the albums they were!) and just hope we will get some experimental songs with long lyrics.

Would be there any duets (not as musicians but singers) on the album?

What's the G.E.M.B means?

What song will be released as a single around the album release?

Will be another part of the Tour in UK?

What the sales will be without Tour (pre-sale tickets) support?

Oct-10 is a good date for the release by now (if you know what I mean) but following the schedule and we will see.

No covers (I think I can confirm that as 99%).

Still angry that More Than This & The Mother and Her Mother (both songs are gems for me) were just the bonus tracks of XXV... I would safe them for Britpop. They defo has English fleur & mood. The melodies are really strong in these songs.

If I'd decide to put Pocket Rocket or one of these two songs (already released) on a Standard version of BRITPOP I'd choose the second way.

I do like that Beau also will get his personal song :)

Hazarding a guess at something to do with the Spice Girls. Geri, Emma, Mel...?

I don't think the abbreviation stands for anything I know of.

Track 8 looks intriguing!

I wonder if " The Morrissey" will think so 😊

I am still wondering about the album release day. I have nothing against TS, but these hype artist have simply because they meet the taste of the time is a bit annoying. Beyonce then Lady Gaga and now TS. With her appealing to her fans and the general public I do not see Robbie winning this battle. He is still having a huge draw as a live performer, but the album in a week where he is challenged, I simply cannot see winning. But will the pull the album to an earlier date or push it to a later one? I don't think so. I think he will then go with spot 2 and will win his 16th no 1 sometime in the future. What do you all think?

I felt sure they would move the date but they haven't so he will have to be content with number 2 I guess. It's a shame but you can't argue with popularity, well you could but you'd be wrong. 😬

Well, not easy to say because this time Rob's album will be out after the tour.

You know that usually as Tour helps any big artists to get a great numbers at the first week (tickets presale style).

So, now he hasn't this feature under the belt and I really don't know how it will be effected on his sales. By my opinion, it's should not be a big figures for him.

Go next.

Nobody beat Taylor in sales at the moment: not Ed, not Harry even not Oasis (in UK), so Taylor is the most difficult competitor for sure. In my opinion Rob should be happy to have this type of competition though he has no big chance to win.

But 2nd week is extremely less (usually) even for Taylor comparing to her 1st week. If you look at her previous album sales at was something like that: 260k (1 week) and 50k (2 week). If her sales would stay around such figures then Rob has a chance. Selling 55-60k is his standards nowadays but again, this time there is no any forthcoming tour and pre-sales of album should not be so strong than usually.

But in a case he will announce some mini tour with pre sales tickets then he could grab his Number 1 during his 1st week.

So, a lot of additional work from his mgmt must be done if they need it. If not, then he will reach Number 2.

Waiting for "Morrissey" song, of course :)

Robbie's new album also sees him reunite with his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, with the pair working on a song together for the first time since he briefly reunited with the band for an album and tour in 2010 and 2011.

He said: 'I've collaborated with Gary on a lot of tracks actually. It's great because that particular track is a song made by Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow about Morrisey.

Describing the song as 'considerate', he added: 'The reason I'm considerate about it is because I'm writing it from the point of view of a stalker, so it's somebody who's stalking, and is completely obsessed and in love with him.'

After listening to Chris Briggs talk on RWRP I doubted they would move the album release date , I don't think they put the same emphasis on getting that No 1 album these says, I would of course love if he got that No 1 but expectations are for that No 2 but we will see ! .

Taylor has a very wide fanbase from young girls to teenagers to adults etc, even Dad's ( thinking Hugh Grant bopping away attempting to look cool ) 😂 _ so the competition is fierce .

Williams is due to release ‘Human’, the third single from ‘Britpop’, tomorrow (August 21). “[It’s] a song that I’ve written about AI,” he revealed, “and what we are being told about AI and our fears about AI. We are being told that we are all about to be replaced and we need clothes and we need food, so there’s a chance that we will be removed. Whether it is a prophecy, we shall see…”

Before departing the stage, ahead of the album playback, he joked: “Am I paying for the bar? Enjoy!”

Unfortunately, it was all but impossible to actually hear ‘Britpop’ over the din of chattering media types, but it’s clearly very guitar-based, as Williams suggested it would be back in 2022.

Although largely fast-paced, the album also features mellower tracks such as one that sees Williams duet with a female singer over melancholic washes of synth and muted, downbeat percussion. There’s also a disco-style track and one on which he sing-raps, while there’s a lyrical callback to 1997’s ‘Angels’, his biggest hit to date: “It offers me protection.”

Thanks for a news!

Returning to Radio 1 at least in such way is always good news.

Btw, what's the format of this show?

A few songs + interview or a mini concert?

When the Sugababes did it earlier in the year it was a current single, a classic single and a cover track. I'd imagine they'll follow the same format here though it could be extended/special for the launch of Radio 1 Anthems on DAB+
