Feels very well planned to me hun and the team for sia are doing a great job! I think it is fantastic that it has spent 2 weeks in the top 100 and there is no video out yet. I think it MIGHT get another week top 100 hun. I would CREAM my knickers if it went top 40 at some point... I can dream yeah?

The strategy is fine, just need the song to stay on playlists and then move up as we get closer to Sia album launch

 

We have seen it move down Amazon then back up again so fingers crossed

Aside from PP and Tension it’s performing as nearly every other Kylie single from the past decade has, and the lead single from the album from Sia didn’t trouble the charts so it’s doing much better than that.

 

Sia is not showing signs this era of being a single selling powerhouse so I think the support is there from the fans just not the GP.

the negativity. Hardly any posts on UK Mix, ARTL, Popjustice ignore it. Download remixes hardly being touched in UK. Negativity on social media, hardly any posts. Sia has 50m followers she is going to get the streams.

 

Unstoppable never charted anywhere but it is a huge success.

 

Even on here it is her main single for a month and still its not being pinned to the top board of her forum like any other single would be!!!

Dance Alone prolonging it's succes is very welcoming.

Personally I don’t think Dance Alone is really giving a need to talk about it a few times on a daily basis. It’s kind of just existing, for me, and evidently for many others on other forums. I wouldn’t say it’s overt negativity. The fanbase can’t really be expected to engage with everything Kylie does musically.

 

There’s no music video, no performances, no interesting promo… so there’s not much to latch on to. Dance Alone is essentially a tool for Sia to achieve physical album sales, an album which I haven’t got any interest in. It just serves as a cute enough, low stakes bonus for Kylie… which is not even in the Top 5 most interesting things that’s happened to her within the last month.

 

Personally I’m not too invested in or wowed by Dance Alone managing a few hundred thousand streams worldwide per day across three versions. The main version is achieving about 20% of the streams required to even make it into the Top 200 on the daily global chart. So honestly it’s a bit of a *shrug* for me. Regardless I of course appreciate the effort & passion to post the stats. :heart:

 

Ultimately I’d say try not to be despondent about other fans seemingly not liking it or not posting about it, it is what it is!

Is a Top 75 placement possible again in tomorrow's midweeks.

Probably not if its previous midweek placements were largely driven by Amazon, and as mentioned it’s suddenly collapsed on Amazon.

 

Amazon data is always reported on time, whereas Spotify and Apple Music are not, which explains why Dance Alone would feature high-ish in the mids - but this was ultimately artificial. If every service reported on time then presumably Dance Alone would have either only just been within the Top 100 in the mids or even not there at all - in line with how it ultimately ends up on Friday.

They must be waiting for a reason to release the video so there is still some hope. Maybe it's not finished. Not expecting much and maybe Sia will go with a 3rd single before the album release

Not top 100 in the midweeks. No surprise after the Amazon collapse.
