Voted for 'Homesick' but that got minus points from me in the latest reshuffle chart which tells you my thoughts on the quality of this week

It's a rare null vote for me (well, voted for 'none of the above' for the first time, I see I'm the only person to do so this time x). 'Not My Fault' comes close to being worthy of a vote, it's a solid if unremarkable disco pop song and definitely an earworm, the best thing I've heard from Reneé and a pretty good Megan feature but... sorry it's nitpicking a little but I find the last repetition of 'you're like in love with me' at the end of the chorus really grating every time oops. Literally replace that one line with something a little less irritating and I'd be on board with this one  I can see the Benson song possibly being a grower and I like the chorus quite a bit but the verses aren't too interesting, the song overall sounds like the kind of thing I feel Sam Ryder should have released to follow up 'SPACE MAN'. I think I've heard enough songs from Noah Kahan about his home, getting a bit repetitive now and the lyrics are a bit cringeworthy on this one - the Sam Fender version, as with basically all the other duets, is a slight improvement and Sam was a good choice of collaborator for this song as it does kind of sound like a Sam Fender song already, he fits on it fine and replaces some of the worst lyrics with slightly better lyrics of his own so that's cool. Would give the original a 5/10. It was a slight facepalm moment when I realised the Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike et al. song is literally just the melody of the original song converted into hardstyle bleeps but after getting over that it doesn't really sound bad or anything, it's just remarkably lazy. Nice to hear Dido's voice on it to bring her back into the charts, at least they didn't replace her with a more anonymous singer and tweak the lyrics just a little bit to make them 10x tackier, and at least the hardstyle production is a bit more of a breath of fresh air in the charts than, say, a mix of that one stock tropical house drop with bland folk dance slop, would be a real shame if there was a song that fit that description that debuted this week as well as that would definitely be an early worst hit of the year contender  I thought the Becky song was growing on me but I think it's actually just that it sounds better when not in headphones as it's easier to ignore how awful Becky's screeching sound on the chorus. Again though, I blame Sonny Fodera bringing out the worst of his collaborators' vocals. It's saved from a lower score because I do actually quite like the production during the verses (but then it goes to bland shit again for the drop). There's only about a minute of the David Kushner song in the middle where it sounds like it has a pulse. I think the chorus on this is actually slightly better than the one on 'Daylight' but the utterly comatose rest of the song makes it worse overall.

New poll + January monthly round up in a bit :3
