Big numbers for Kanye on Spotify today surprising a bit in my opinion but we shall see if it lasts.

Was expecting like 1 million based on your post lol but the highest song did 369k.

Yeah I thought the same when I looked

hahaha yes me too

and yes, the Script charted for ages on Amazon with some interlude that was like 45 seconds long and was from an old album from like 2015 or something. Didn't go to #1 but was like top 30 for months.

but even more bizarre the other week some old dance song by Jax Jones & MNEK was #2 for the whole week, and of course it didnt go top 100 come Friday.

and as I said, right now Bebe Rexha is charting with Ferrari, a flop of hers from like 5 years ago, why would people stream that? :D

😂I meant across the board global US/UK then all the other songs too but yeah individually it’s just decent

Hopefully Kanye will fall away quickly but I imagine he’ll have 3 songs in the top 40 this week. (At least Radio 1 will probably skip them)
Legitimately makes me sick to see Kanye still get this much support after the disgusting and unforgivable things he's said and done and the samples he obtained without permission on this album.
If only "cancel culture" actually worked

Yeah, I was thinking a while ago, it seems like it's been ages since someone got successfully cancelled. It was more a mid-10's thing. Now people just complain about it but it doesn't really happen anymore. I hope people can eventually realise that it doesn't really happen anymore and we can move on from all that. I was honestly pleasently surprised that Taylor Swift - Slut didn't cause any backlash, because I feel like around 2014 - 2019 time it probably would have (undeservedly).

Honestly it's fairly common depending on your scope and how you define it, but the thing is that it usually is so effective that you'll forget (or never knew) they ever were around and won't recall it so easily. That and it's more prone to happen to people who are more replaceable, not highly influential cultural figures.
Beyoncé at #59 and #87 on Apple Music so far ('TEXAS HOLD 'EM' being the higher track).
Why did Beyoncé release on a Monday! Especially when the schedule couldn't be more dead last Friday!
I know I know but not sure if it compensates
We're talking about the same artist who had multiple entire albums left as TIDAL exclusives for an extended period of time, I'm fairly sure she doesn't care
If Noah goes ACR next week could be a 4 way battle between Benson, Teddy, Beyoncé & Dua Lipa

I can't see Beyonce challenging for the top spot with country songs.

I'd guess it would be between Benson and Teddy at this stage... although I guess you never know with Dua - Houdini got to 2 afterall
