If things don’t sell out then they will often be sold for discounted prices. 40% discount is a lot, but not the 80% discount you’re implying.

 

Not as extreme? I’ll happily sell my ticket to you for £250 and get a £150 then in that case? (Or buy a resale ticket that people are clamoring to shift for £30 and then buy a £50 upgrade).
