Nice to see a fair few songs that missed the main series feature from the likes of Paloma, Britney, Ciara, Radiohead, Oasis and Leona Lewis to mention a few.

Ciara - Love Sex Magic is on Now 73

Wow! There's a lot of great stuff on NOW 120! Immediate thoughts: Tracks 1-7 being songs by the Pop Girls! Iconic! Brilliant! It's what we deserve! APT. is here! That follows "Gangam Style", "Gentle

Not as many surprises on the new Now Millennium edition as the others, but it's a decent tracklist with my favourite songs for 2008 and 2009 on there (Love Song and Release Me).

I like the run of dance on Disc 2, from Basshunter to September. Intriguing to open Disc 4 with two songs that didn't go top 10.

It's weird that Run and Bad Boys never made the numbered series.

But most artists simply don't release new product in late November and all of December anymore, so you basically lose six weeks of quality product to choose from.

It's so clogged up with Christmas that you have to go outside the top 75 to find these songs sometimes in December, and then Now fans will just moan about a load of flops on the album, as they always do.

Don’t forget that from Now 104, there was a 6 month wait for Now 105 then from there, just a 2 month wait for Now 106. There will also be a 5 month wait between Now 119 and Now 120 as the former will most likely be released on 22nd November and the latter will most likely be released on 25th April seeing as they now release the spring Nows after Easter and Easter next year falls on 20th April

I’d never forget that, thanks to the pandemic delay. Now 106 was accordingly a weaker summer Now than usual in my opinion, my least favourite summer Now in the last decade probably.

Christmas music has also become far more dominant since then too with plenty of new December hits still happening then. The week before the Christmas chart has only six Christmas songs top 20 in 2019, the equivalent week in 2023 had 16 Christmas songs in the top 20. So you can see how Christmas dominance has increased since the pandemic and why Now has fewer hits to pick for spring.

With End Credits appearing on Now Millennium 2008-2009, there’s a chance of Backbone appearing on Now 119 but shame Baddadan missed out completely

Surely that long ago they were on a different label to what they are on now.

Sony Music about to aquire MJ's recordings, can definately see Leave Me Alone on NOW Yearbook '89 now. Too late for 87 and 88.

He could appear on the next Final Chapter and probably 87 extra.

An interesting development indeed. I would just point out that it's not his full back catalogue they have acquired, as per this quote;

As reported by Billboard earlier this year, the Jackson estate and Sony Music have reached a deal that will see the music giant buy half of the singer’s publishing and recorded masters catalog for more than $600 million.

They could at least do a set release date of every first Friday in April for the spring Nows unless Good Friday falls on the first Friday that year then release it the Friday before or at least go back to releasing them before Easter as 25th April for next year seems too late or do set release dates of every first Friday in April, August and December

Love the '08-'09 album! So excited to see so many great pop hits! Estelle's American Boy is missing, but I can understand that - you can't license the Radio Edit with Kanye anymore. And I wish Britney's 2009 entry was "3" instead of "Circus", but at least we have another Britney song added the NOW library.

Excited to see if MJ does make the next set of Yearbooks - especially the 90s ones, I think that was his best decade!

Kanye is only a featured artist on American Boy and they could’ve used the solo version instead and as for MJ, I’d love it if he finally got included especially on 1995 and 1996

Odd to see the likes of Scooter, Ultrabeat and Paolo Nutini appear when bigger hits of theirs didn’t feature on previous editions. Not complaining though. Love seeing double Duffy but I’m surprised to not see double Gaga. Glad it’s Bad Romance though.

Never heard of the Bon Jovi song. Was hoping they might include some of the flops from Dido/Anastacia but oh well.

I think the series needs to continue into the 10s even if just to see some better colours on the albums as that looks pretty hideous.

Seeing as Bad Romance is on 2009, I’m hoping for Telephone or Alejandro for 2010 but I’d have preferred if they used Just Dance and Poker Face for 2009 and save Bad Romance for 2010

I think it will likely stop here, just because of the costs of the more recent licences and you don't tend to see songs from the 10s on any other compilations for that very reason. It's sad that's the case but blame streaming (amongst other things of course).

I think for these they are trying to get the well known versions or putting in a bit more effort than just adding the "No Rap" edit. Plus the No Rap edit is quite dull.

They always include Price Tag without B.o.B, Blurred Lines without T.I. and On The Floor without Pitbull

I've made a list of songs from 2010 and 2011 that could appear on Now Millennium 2010-2011 if they continue these editions into the 2010s
