Great amount of streams! Now, to see if it hopefully holds up and I think it will. A drop tomorrow and maybe Sunday but should recover by Tuesdays update.

 

Not quite 1m first day but 900k for the YT video first 24 hours I think. Not official, the mv is on about 976k rn. Excellent result!! Just a shame it couldn’t quite hit 1m!

Amazing streams for Jade! Comfortably the highest out of all the solo debuts on Spotify in streams.

Honestly can't think of the last music video I felt compelled to rewatch and rewatch as much as this. :cheeseblock: Maybe New Rules??

Great that the streams are so high, wish she had done physicals too though!

This is great, for sure, about time someone from Little Mix actually felt like they were trying something not safe. And it’s paid off for sure.

 

I’ve had about 4 listens of it now and I’m still not HOOKED, the messiness of it makes it hard to fully connect to but when it does click, I know it’s going to majorly click. My only critique is that I wish it went OFF at the end instead of going back into the ballad territory, leaves me with blue balls.

 

Video is superb though, she’s a starrrrr.

I love that the song is sandwiched between the two slower moments. It really helps the story of the song for me. Almost like her innocence and naivety at the start before her world goes crazy with overnight success/the problems and crazy whirlwind story of the business before it all comes together at the end where she "finds herself" and tells her younger self "I'll always love you" (especially as she kind of restarts her journey into stardom).

 

However, I completely get why others may have preferred the song to have kept the energy and gone "all out" for the ending or whatever :lol:

 

I'm so excited to see where she goes from here. I think she has her finger on the pulse of what people want from her and a very clear vision of who she wants to be as an artist. Ugh. I love herrrrr!

Well said. That’s the one thing that’s lacking. I get the creative reasons for her switching back to the slower tempo near the end but it could’ve done with a third verse acting as the song’s outro. It’s all about the verses for me. They sound like they are building into something but the chorus doesn’t quite go there.

This will be an interesting one to follow because, I saw a couple of Tik Toks yesterday of people asking for Alexa to “Play Jade - Angel of my Dreams” and Alexa just randomly played other stuff :lol:

 

I assume (idk I don’t have an Alexa) they have it sorted but it’ll be interesing to see it’s impact on Amazon Music!

That’s incredible!! :clap: So if 300k are from the UK, that means 800k were from elsewhere!! It would be good to get a breakdown by country.

I'm so obsessed with this it's unreal. I think I've watched the video at least 20 times now.
