I think without physicals I’m thinking it could be anywhere between 5-11 this week if the streams hold up as there’s that many on acr above her, but that’s if it doesn’t drop too much, if it had physicals think it could have been top 5 /top 3 on lock, but maybe the are hoping it’ll be a gainer and not looking for peak in the first week!

I think Jade has watched Leigh and Perrie drop to 30s-50s in the second week and is very clever holding back the physicals.

 

Having longevity is actually much more important. Imagine if she can keep a position between 4-7 this week, release the physicals next week and remain another week in the top 10. Then promo, radio play etc can ramp up, as it really looks like a genuine hit. That could increase the Hot Hits Spotify playlisting etc. to a higher position and guarantee much more stability for the next month or so...

 

We need to get over the peaking very high first week and then plummet idea, just so she can outpeak Jesy.

And I think she might not be interested in the headlines that would compare her with the other girls. She probably just wants to do well as a solo artist

But week one was the only chance Perrie and Leigh would have had for a top 10, hopefully that's not the same for Jade, but I don't think it's the wisest choice to wait when week one is the main chance of getting a top 10 peak.

I think a top 3 debut is more impressive than just dropping physicals in the second week to avoid a huge drop.

 

She should have had physicals out asap and thrown everything into the first week. It’s hardly ‘longevity’ if a 2nd week is artifically bumped by stans and then it plummets the 3rd week.

This is so wonderful to see! Really hoping the bump up on HHUK helps her tomorrow (didn’t Perrie start falling when she was bumped up - although I don’t think she got as high as this has? Icr)

It’s doing very well on streaming and downloads alone though. Your argument that saving physicals for the second week is ‘artificial’ surely also applies to an artificially high peak first week too if you’re going by that standard.

 

And having a multiple week top 10 as I said will only help with streaming playlisting placements, so that could realistically offset that 3rd week plummet too much. Think Kylie with ‘Padam’ last year. Even having a few weeks low top 10 gave her a few months of very high playlisting on all of the important Spotify playlists etc as it looked like a genuine hit. She didn’t throw physicals out straight away, but did when she needed it.

 

The thing is though, she could be on course to have a number one under her belt if she released physicals this week. :P But it’s looking to be a decent hit at least (if we can judge by 3 days of streams lol) so I don’t think physicals are needed. Top 10 is looking safe and getting there on streaming alone fees like more of a success than it getting there with added physicals. I feel like Jade is going for acclaim over huge sales though so maybe she doesn’t care.

I've seen a couple of Tik Toks from influencers from other countries rallying behind it going to number 1 and asking what it is [they] can do to help! There's definitely some buzz around her debut. I am not resting until I see the 2nd week hold though (but all signs are extremely positive for that atm).

 

I don't mind when they come, I just hope we get some physicals :lol:
