Down to 39 on Spotify today.

 

 

I’m so shocked neither Leigh, Perrie or Jade have been on this morning or the one show on release week?

I’m just shocked it’s constantly falling! It’s getting massive praise everywhere, it really feels like people outside the fanbase are listening (even my friends have mentioned it) yet it just can’t seem to stay stable despite being 8 on HHUK.

 

The worldwide playlists are so important HHUk doesn’t really seem to have much effect anymore

It better start moving in the other direction again!

I think it’s very clear that it was very front loaded, sadly. I’m sure it’ll have a cute little run and today’s update was the Sunday update so it’ll probably click a little tomorrow, but #7 was clearly its peak and they should have had the physicals ready for that week to snatch a top 3 peak. Oh well. Bring on It Girl!

At least it's holding up well on Apple and has climbed to 14 on Amazon it's just a shame about Spotify.

 

There are loads of songs ahead on ACR or doing poorly on Apple/Amazon so hopefully it remains top 20 for a couple more weeks at least.

 

Surely this has to be the first Solo LM single to go silver at least :lol:

 

Not that it means anything much but it's nice to see it rebounding from 10/11 on itunes to 6 today.

I'm *quietly* confident it'll re-bounce. But we shall see I guess. I think HHUK has a better effect during the week (well, when I say "better" I mean a more noticeable one). Most of the newer charting tracks fell places in today's update today (Both Charli's, Ice/Central etc..)

 

Just a random observation here, she's the newest song (not including 'Bye Bye Bye' as that's having major exposure from the new Deadpool movie) in the top 40 (10 days - You can extend that to top 50 too). 'Did It First' (Ice Spice/Central) is the next lowest (17 days). Everything else has 25 days or more on UK Spotify charts.

 

(P.s. I'm not saying it won't continue falling from this point, just food for thought I guess :lol:)

Yeah it seems Spotify is the outlier here. But it usually always is over the weekends as Apple Music's promoted playlists always tend to be more favourable to newer chart hits etc..

If by Wednesday she is still falling, then I will panic. :lol:

It would be amazing if it manages to peak in popularity around the week physicals are out. :lol:

The thought of this not recovering on streaming would concern me more if it seemed like her team was pushing for a big chart hit. I think it was pretty obvious from the start they weren’t expecting this to be a smash, i’d assume it’s probably matched their expectations, if not succeeded them if we’re talking about that debut position! Top 10 with no physicals was great for her

 

Hopefully it does remain stable and achieves a decent chart run but i feel like this song has done its job in introducing Jade to a new audience and helping her build a fanbase.

It's a fairly big budget video (a 4 day shoot) and the song is incredible so I don't think it's unrealistic to think her and her team were hoping for a big chart hit with it. It's not some low key affair after all.

 

This is why I HATE the streaming era. If this was the 00's we'd have Jade performing the song on every TV show going and she'd probably have went to number 1 and stuck around for a while but these days a song is pretty much done for if it's not on Spotify playlists.

This has reached 4 Million views already and is STILL #2 on trending for music!

 

Incredible stuff. That mid week position is so promising too! Really hoping it can get a 2nd week top 15!

 

EDIT: Just seen who is directly above... absolutely NO chance in her keeping her lead over THOSE songs to stay top 15 DON'T get me STARTED on any of them ancient, shitty songs :puke:

I'm convinced the label weren't expecting this to be a big hit. I genuinely think the team planned on this exciting fans, launching JADE as a solo artist (I mean they've seen how the other members have performed) I still think they focused on streaming rather than physicals to hopefully give it some longevity (Which it has) not sure if it would have the same playlisting if people were able to order physicals (the only links that were pushed were the pre-saves)

 

Don't forget the merch dropped the same day (Again seems to me like they were covering costs of the single incase things didn't go to plan?)

 

Just my thoughts anyway as it was a bit of a risk, which obviously has paid off.

 

It deserves so much more than to just slide down the charts! Still if it gets another week top 15 and stablises in the top 20 all won't be lost.
