Think it could be anything music or non musically.

Missed this at the time.. surely the biggest one is Duffy? That Diet Coke advert ruined her career. Think people forget her and Adele broke through at the same time and Duffy was the one who looked to be having the bigger career trajectory! Crazy stuff.

 

As for some other shouts in here.. think they are just natural cycles in music which happens. Someone new comes along and the public have moved on.
