Yes purely based on expectation for me, stepro you just knew wasn't going going to be much where with a lead single your hopes are high and take me for a ride completly disappointed.

I would ask that votes are made purely in terms of what your favourite and least favourite songs are, rather than any other context such as your expectations pre-hearing them. But if Take Me for a Ride is your least favourite of the 5 songs listed regardless, then fair enough.
Oops I went with Tragedy because it makes the most sense for track 1 (though 5,6,7,8 should get it lol) but I do prefer SOTD so glad it’s doing well.
Take me for a ride is worse then the Steptro?

Absolutely! Steptro is such a fun start and Take Me For A Ride is so bland!

It’s interesting how differently we all feel about it. Take Me for a Ride is anything but bland to me - it stands out in their discography for having quite a different mood to it than the average Steps song. It has an interesting 80s synth vibe to it that is darker than you’d probably expect from Steps.

This is how I feel about it too, I really rate it personally and listen to it quite a lot compared to their other songs. It's so moody and atmospheric, I also love Lee's bridge to the chorus. The music video is also gorgeous too.

I think what ranks it lower for me is the chorus isnt nearly as catchy as other Steps songs, its like a song thats building but doesnt ever fully take off.
