Sound is very much winning then! I did think that would be the case but when I asked the question at work the people I was talking to were all lyrics focussed. I wonder whether there's a correlation between how much music you consume and whether you prefer the sound (as I imagine most of us here listen to lots of new music)?

Production mostly but lyrics still matter. Especially when singing along to songs.

 

For example, I really like the new-wave style production of Artemas - I Like The Way You Kiss Me but when you have :mellow: lyrics like in the chorus that puts me off the song.
