14. Monika Linkyte and Vaidas Baumila - This Time (Lithuania - 2015)

Sadly, but my favourite country selected a wonderful song only once. We could have many amazing Lithuanian entries - I Dangu (2009), I Will Break Free (2011), Sacrifice (2017), Perfect (2024).

Some very good songs in this countdown, including some very unjust non-qualifiers. "Lako je sve" and "Verona" were massive shocks for me when they didn't make it through.

"Story of my Life" is so much better than "Maps" for me, it's sad that the latter is the one that Lesley actually got to compete with (although realistically I think her vocal was the biggest hindrance)

Hope "The Social Network Song" is top 10 :D

There were many non-qualifiers, which became # 1s in my yearly rankings, including my all-time # 1 song.

Valentina is like a mascot of her country. Can we name any other famous residents of San Marino ?

Yes, for all my charts.

In male category # 1s are :

2000s : LT United - We Are The Winners

2010s : Engelbert Humperdinck - Love Will Set You Free

I was obsessed with Maps for about a month. Story if My Life is definitely the one I prefer now.

In comparison with other countries UK was good enough in 2012-2017 years.

12. Scooch - Flying The Flag (For You) (United Kingdom - 2007)

12th and last UK win in my Eurovision yearly rankings (1957, 1969, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1991, 1996, 2002, 2007). Germany and Netherlands shared a second place with six wins for both countries.

Obviously YVA performance in Lithuanian Eurovision pre-selection 2009 year with "I Dangu" was inspired by Scooch.

Seven non-qualifiers are in my top 10.

Some big faves here like Playing With Fire, Bonnie Tyler, Come Back, satellite, the flying Aussie Woman, Texas Lightning, and some others. No idea who is going top top your list though...! :D

How it's possible ? I said many times before in different topics who is my # 1 favourite.

Also there is a big spoiler, which I even didn't try to hide. :)

Suspect a Latvian song in the thread subtitle might be on top. I'll guess along with Valentina in the top three.

Satellite is still one of my favourite winners, no bells or whistles or fancy staging, she just turned up and sang a great song that was so good it was already a big hit before the contest in many countries.

Did you check the new Scooch song:

It's out on streaming and download services too.

It's hilarious that 14 (!!!) years after the contest most comments under her video on Youtube belongs to angry Turks.

Thanks for Scooch link, need to listen it.

10. Anna Bergendahl - This Is My Life (Sweden - 2010)

Anna and Lena are always back to back in my ESC rankings. It was the one from the most closest battles for # 1 in yearly Eurovision ranking.

Like many my favourites Anna didn't qualified into the final, but it's Sweden (the country which almost each Eurovision fan love), how it was possible ? :(
